If we’re not rope dropping any ride but are in the park early to get a BG, whats the earliest time we can sign up for Jedi training? I’d prefer to get that out of the way while waiting to get a BG.

Again this is if we don’t rope drop anything, which we might depending on how early we get there.

TIA!

Go to Jedi Training sign-up as soon as you enter the park.
They may or may not be signing then, but you will be in position when they do.

You can use your device to try for a BG when the time comes, even if you are standing at Jedi Training signup.

I read recently that you don’t have to rush to this sign up anymore. It doesn’t fill up nearly as fast and people still had their pick of shows when signing up mid morning. Hoping this is true when we go so we can rope drop something else!

Jedi training is staffed as soon as the park opens. If you aren't RD any rides, you can make your way over there and secure your BG while you're getting signed up.

With the exception of really busy days (holiday weekends, highest capacity days) it is definitely NOT the rush it was a few years ago. Going early just means that you get your pick of times, but if timing isn't as important you can get a few rides done in the morning and then sign up after.

The one thing to be aware of is that if there is even a hint of rain/sprinkle, they will cancel a show - so if DOING the training is the most important, shoot for an early time slot that gives you plenty of rescheduling opportunities if the early one gets rained out.

Just an fyi, I have read that it has gotten much busier (like before TSL opened) because so many folks are there early attempting to get a BG. So while what the PPs said was true for a long time after TSL opened, it has slowly been building because of the crowd there at opening. I have read a few reports of guests not getting to participate because the shows have all been filled early. We don't go until the end of March so I cannot speak to experience but it does make sense to me based on how mornings are now going at HS.

I think if you go straight there, the times for the shows usually begin around 9:30-10:00 each day!

You will definitely be able to get an early one if that is where you head before anything else.

Just wanted to give an update based on my experience last Saturday (I believe a 9 on the crowd calendar). I got on the end of a pretty good-sized line at about 7:45am. After everyone paused to get a boarding group at 8, I got to the desk around 8:05. All shows were available then. I believe I signed up for an 11:40 show, which meant I had to be back by 11:10. Right around 11:15 I overheard them saying they had a 6:30 and a 7:00 remaining. They also called about 3-4 kids from the standby list for our show.

So unless you have only a very small window for jedi training, you should be able to rope drop another ride, head over to signups, and still have some decent availability.

I thought the show was great, BTW.
