Just a quick question...Does the Jedi Training fill up at this time of the year so that it is necessary to get there first thing in the morning? A friend is planning to go this Sunday and I want to be able to let her know what to expect as I have never done it.

TIA for your expert advise!

I would suggest that she go at rope drop and go to directly to JTA to sign up. I tried signing my son up in November..about 2 hours after the park opened and they told me that they had sold out a 1/2 hr ago. When we go in May that is the very first place I am heading :)

We went in March for Spring Break last year. We were at the park before 8:30. It opened at 8:30. We went straight to Toy Story Mania and rode it. Then we went over to sign up for Jedi Training. Our time was in the afternoon, but that was fine with us.

Our kids had done it before, so we were willing to take the chance of being too late to sign up.

I suggest going at rope drop as well. Just a reminder to keep an eye on the weather as well. When I went we chose a time when it was raining and two of the shows at that time got cancelled :(

Wow! Never even thought of that, thank you!

We went last January, a very slow week, and headed to sign up right at rope drop. We were in the 1:30 show. Judging by the line behind us when we signed up, I'm guessing they ran out of slots before long. So, I would definitely head there first thing!

Just to piggyback on other responses...we were there during a slow period the first week this past February...while we missed the official rope drop, we were there at parking opening at 9 am; my son was placed in the 1:20 performance, just to fill out that class of 15. But the people in front of us were being placed in performances after 5. So maybe not right at rope drop, but I certainly wouldn't show up an hour after the park opened expecting that there would be any more openings for that day.

PPoor planning here, we are going on a resort switch day, does anyone know does the child have to be there at sign up? I was thinking of heading over there my self at rope drop and have others including my son meet me thereby 930
Can you do that?

Yes, your child will have to be there to sign up. They will ask the child a few simple questions. :)

Do you happen to know what questions they ask? My son will be 4 1/2 when we go in May. He tends to get shy when a stranger asks him a question and I would love to almost "prepare" him for his answers so he doesn't freeze up. He listens very well to directions(he just finished playing his 2nd season in a hockey league and always followed the directions of the coaches :) But as I said, when a stranger talks to him he is super shy. I would hate for them to reject him if he doesn't answer the questions because he is so looking forward to "fighting" Darth Vader :)
