I have just been looking at ALLEARS.NET and found that they actually have a show involving Jedi training school. This is audience participation, kids only, and lasts about 30 minutes. Has anyone done this or know of anyone who has? :thumbsup2

This used to only be offered during the Star Wars weekend. My son did it when he was nine and he absolutely loved it!! It is just too cool, although we didn't get picked for our first group and had to come back later and try again it was WELL worth it and we would have kept trying all day if need be.

There were two relatively small groups who get loaned robes, then have some initial trading from Jedis, then have some one-on-one time with either Darth Vader or Darth Maul. We got some great pictures from this -- my son was so serious about it!

was it just during the summer or is it all year round my son would love to do that

From SimonV's website:

Disney-MGM Studios: the new entertainment is not confined just to the Magic kingdom, as, outside the Star Tours ride at Disney-MGM, you will also be able to enjoy the Be A Jedi Knight show up to eight times a day. This is something that proved a hit during the Star Wars Weekends at the Studios in the last two years and is now being rolled out on a daily basis. Here, several young Obi Wan Kenobi wannabes get the chance to go through their paces with a Jedi Master (sadly, not Yoda!), before being challenged by the sinister Darth Maul - and then Darth Vader himself! Cue lots of light saber-rattling, with the inevitable victory for the Jedi trainees!

OMG my son will absolutely love this! Not to mention my husband....

How cool is this? :wizard:

Chessington World of Adventure, the UK version of WDW:rolleyes:

-ahem- has this going on in October:

Amidst the usual Hocus Pocus at Chessington, there’s a new dark side to this Halloween...

A new world dawns this Halloween as Chessington World of Adventures presents an intergalatic Star Wars-tastic event. Feel the Force with a Jedi Training Academy, live-action stage show, stormtroopers on patrol and the chance to ‘ride in the dark’ with late opening hours as Chessington is transformed into a galactic fantasy world… far, far away.

News Flash!
Come and meet Warwick Davis aka Wicket the Ewok at Chessington! You'll need to be quick though, he's only here on Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th October from 12pm until 4pm! Find out more about Warwick on his official web site.

Highlights:

The UK’s first all interactive Jedi Training Academy – a masterclass where Jedi apprentices are instructed in the art of the Jedi Knights, learning lightening lightsaber moves.
Live-action show on the Market Square stage, where Darth Vader, Jedi Knights and stormtroopers show off their skills in a dramatic rendition of good versus evil.
Stormtroopers patrolling the park, staff showing off with lightsabers and meet n’greet and picture opportunities with key Star Wars characters including Darth Vader, various Jedi Knights, R2-D2 and even a Jedi starfighter!
For young Padawans, the Dragon’s Tail Theatre is going to the dark side with a Star Wars special show.
And there is much more as the park is transformed once again this Halloween with the usual tricks and treats in Beanoland, and a daily fancy dress competition.

Between 21 and 31 October, Chessington World of Adventures will be open until 8pm, so come Feel the Force and ride in the dark with your favourite Star Wars characters!

Was toying with the idea of taking the kids. It would be just like MGM! :joker:

Didn't see it when I was there last week, and it wasn't mentioned anywhere. I've also heard it would be going in the Magic Kingdom...
