Hi all,

Just came back from Disney, and have some great news for those worrying about Jedi Training sign-up. We went on the 15th, which was an EMM morning. We arrived ad 8:15, 2nd in line at rope drop, about 20th in line once we got to Jedi Training. I signed my girls up at the time I wanted (11:10), Then hit Toy story, TWICE. The time at exit after our second time around? 9:21. Time to go on Star Tours, meet Olaf, and watch the 10:00 Stormtrooper march. We then did our FP for TOT and RnR, all before 11:00. I honestly believe these EMM scare so many people about whether or not they will get Jedi Training, that they go and buy it just in case. Don't (Unless you have a really valid reason to do so, and I couldn't think of one unless you love TSM a lot or have a child with special needs. Show up at Rope drop and you'll be fine.

On a side note, I planned forever for this trip, then a week before my daughter broker her arm (Planning around waterparks) my flight was delayed, (Supposed to arrive at 11:00am, got there at 8:00pm) which threw all of my planning out the window. Actually, the only part of my week long plan we followed was Tuesday morning. We got more than I planned accomplished, and had the best time. Tip for those worrying about plans, have a rough idea what you want to do, line up your fastpasses and go with the flow. 100% follow what your kids want to do, and let your plan fall apart if the have to (How was I supposed to know my DD8 would spend an hour at colortopia, and my DD10 2 hours at Sum of all Thrills?)

Lastly, the amount of Disney magic and Pixie Dust my family received was overwhelming!! My number 1 tip, be polite, smile, and don't try to weasel your way on to rides or try to get freebies. You will be amazed at what Disney will do. I am absolutely astounded at their customer service.

I am willing to answer any questions you many have on any of these subjects, instead of a long winded trip report.

Have fun!!

What an upbeat report!! Glad you had such a fantastic trip!
I have friends going in October who are huge SW fans. I'm looking at the calendar and don't see the "Stormtrooper march" listed. How do you find out when this will be...is it only listed in a times guide from the park? I wonder if it's something that's a standard/done every day? Trying to help her plan, and this is definitely something they would want to see...

I didn't even realize folks were panicking over EMM at HS and JTA.
They really shouldn't. Not even tickets are sold for an EMM to put a dent in those wanting to do JTA

Colortopia is about the only thing left open at Innoventions at Epcot
Colortopia is an interactive experience that talks about and shows you how colors affect mood, etc. The Dad form Modern Family narrates it. My daughter loved painting the murals and playing the "Match the color: game.

I noticed for our trip that the march was posted about 3 weeks to a month before. The first one was at 10:00am, and I think they go every hour, with a bit of a break around noon.

Good to know! Thanks for the great report!

What time were you let in for rope drop?

I just wanted to say HI! We were also there on the 15th and my daughter was in the 11:10 show as well. It was a cool experience (even though later when she met Kylo Ren she almost ripped my arm off trying to get away from him because he was not happy that she had defeated him LOL)

Definitely nothing to worry about. I think we were let in around 8:30ish? Can't remember exactly but it was before 9 for sure.

Hi! Lol, small world. Yes, 8:30. Hot morning, but a great one!

Love your report! That is great to hear about your HS day, I can pass the info. on to my cousins who I am helping plan their 1st trip in end of Sept./Oct. Also, I totally agree about the magic - we have had so many great little surprise moments of pixie dust, which is what makes it so special, when you're not expecting it!

Thanks for the info, Seoulbro!

We are going to do a very similar monday morning in Hollywood in September and were targeting an 11am Jedi training. Good to know the EMM does impact our plans much.

Thanks for the update! Was there a separate line at the turnstiles for Jedi sign up? 2x TSM by 9.21 is a great result!

No separate line, just try to be closest to the dining line as possible. I was shocked that we rode it twice by then. It was 9:07 after our first ride. After Jedi sign ups, we waited with a cm who walked us near TSM. I made an error in my report, now that I remember. After the march we went to ToT, then to our Jedi Training, then RnR, Rhein to lunch at Mama Melrose. Still a lot done before noon. We opted for swimming at the resort instead of Little Mermaid and Beauty and the Beast, it was a hot day!

My son request doing this yesterday! I have fast passes for TSM between 9-10. Not sure if I should change it now? Where do you go to sign up?

Who is in Jefi Training academy? My son is dead set sure that it is Darth Maul because he has looked up videos online? He is very excited to see him? I keep telling him that he may not be there when we go.
