Hi all,
Just came back from Disney, and have some great news for those worrying about Jedi Training sign-up. We went on the 15th, which was an EMM morning. We arrived ad 8:15, 2nd in line at rope drop, about 20th in line once we got to Jedi Training. I signed my girls up at the time I wanted (11:10), Then hit Toy story, TWICE. The time at exit after our second time around? 9:21. Time to go on Star Tours, meet Olaf, and watch the 10:00 Stormtrooper march. We then did our FP for TOT and RnR, all before 11:00. I honestly believe these EMM scare so many people about whether or not they will get Jedi Training, that they go and buy it just in case. Don't (Unless you have a really valid reason to do so, and I couldn't think of one unless you love TSM a lot or have a child with special needs. Show up at Rope drop and you'll be fine.
On a side note, I planned forever for this trip, then a week before my daughter broker her arm (Planning around waterparks) my flight was delayed, (Supposed to arrive at 11:00am, got there at 8:00pm) which threw all of my planning out the window. Actually, the only part of my week long plan we followed was Tuesday morning. We got more than I planned accomplished, and had the best time. Tip for those worrying about plans, have a rough idea what you want to do, line up your fastpasses and go with the flow. 100% follow what your kids want to do, and let your plan fall apart if the have to (How was I supposed to know my DD8 would spend an hour at colortopia, and my DD10 2 hours at Sum of all Thrills?)
Lastly, the amount of Disney magic and Pixie Dust my family received was overwhelming!! My number 1 tip, be polite, smile, and don't try to weasel your way on to rides or try to get freebies. You will be amazed at what Disney will do. I am absolutely astounded at their customer service.
I am willing to answer any questions you many have on any of these subjects, instead of a long winded trip report.
Have fun!!
