Jedi Training sign up in EMH

What time do they start doing Jedi Training sign ups during EMH? From what I've read, on a normal day sign ups start before park opening time so you can get to another ride for rope drop if you are near enough to the front. Is EMH the same, or do they they only open the sign ups at 8 on those days?

It’s @ 8:00a. When the gates open at 8:00, JTA Guests head over to sign up.

We signed up this past Monday. We didn't have a PPO ADR, but were still one of the first ones in line. Took about 5 minutes to walk over for signups and we had our pick of times.

Not sure what official policy is, but for what it's worth, my son chose the left line (bb-8 team with stickers in the ground to match) while the right side was Rey with corresponding stickers. They didn't mix up the lines, and my son ended up onstage with his group fighting Vader while the Rey group was on the ground platform and fought Kylo Ren.

Thank you. I'm wondering now whether it's better to do it on a non EMH day, rather than potentially spending half of the EMH waiting to sign up

That's really helpful thank you. How early had you got to the gates? I'll bear that in mind on which line fights who too, I suspect they would prefer Vader

8:15am for a 9am opening, roughly. We headed towards the left and ended up first at the turnstile (but not the leftmost lines, which were for those PPO ADRs). One little treat was that Donald and Daisy came out to visit people before they opened the park and my son was able to get a hug from each.
