if my child does Jedi Training, is there a photo op with Darth Vader or a stormtrooper? I will have the memory maker if that helps?

You'll get a special photo pass card with pictures of all the young Jedis in your child's session, including the individual battles with Darth Vader. There are no posed photo ops.

You'll get lots of candid photopass pictures of your child on stage and fighting the bad guys. It will include group shots that your child us in, as well as lots of just your child and the trainer and Vader when he/she is brought forward to fight. If there's a rainout, it is substituted with a meet and greet, where I'm guessing you might get posed photos taken.

My big tip: after the show, when the photographer gives you the photopass card with your code on it, take that card to a photopass shop (near the park entrances or at downtown disney) and have them help you upload the pictures to your account. You *can* simply enter the card's code on your Memory Maker page yourself, but this will put ALL the pictures including dozens and dozens of pictures of the other participants. At the store, the people can help you quickly selećt just your own child's pictures for upload (an option you don't have when you do it yourself). The photopass/memory maker site is slow and its a real pain to have that many extra pictures clogging up your page.

The only posed meet and greet type photos happen when there is a rain cancelation and Vader and Troopers meet the Younglings.

Before the JTA session ends, Vader and the Troopers have left the stage and are on their way back to the Death Star/backstage areas.

thanks everyone. thats what I needed to know!
And special thanks to Mikie for that awesome time saving tip

If you don't have memory maker can you still download/purchase the photos individually?

Yes. You have that option.

Memory Maker is for the digital download of all available photos.

This. That tip makes a huge difference!

Just verifying that yes if it does rain you get a photo op meet and greet with Darth Vader and several storm troopers. We received a photopass card with these pictures just as we did with the regular experience, some of our favorite pictures!

Yes, the meet and greet does occur. If a session is in progress and then is stopped due to rain, only the Younglings who didn't train against Vader are allowed to move on to the meet and greet photo OP.

If it's a day full of rain, still go to the assigned session as sometimes the complete cast will be involved in the meet and greet.

I realize my comment came out more like a question than a statement, sorry! We did the 'rain' version last year and it was really neat. We had a full day of rain and when we came for our time we were walked over to Star Tours ride to go to a special area in there for the meet and greet. Our oldest was thrilled since it was a completely different experience than the trip prior for him. The 5 year old had a lot of fun but days later realized he never actually fought Vader lol.
