Jedi training on EMH day

HS opens at 8am the day we plan to go. Do we still need to head right to the sign up or can we go to TSMM first then sign up afterwards?

2. Only if you don't mind risking that your child might not get to participate in Jedi Training.

We did this in April 2014. We were one of the first 6-7 people to sign up for Jedi Training, then we went right to TSM and had about a 15-20 wait. So I'd say if you're at the front of the line to get into the park, it's possible to do both without a lot of waiting.

This gives me hope! I think we're going to have to go to RnRC instead anyway. I hate tiering! I don't really want the 3rd fastpass for anything in the 2nd tier, but it'd be nice to be able to fastpass both TSMM & RnRC. I suppose they have to do that since there aren't much rides there anymore.

Can't answer your question about EMH day but last Tuesday DN and I arrived at the park at 9:15 (couldn't get her moving!), went right to Jedi sign up and ended up being on the stand by list. The first class we tried- around 12:00 she got in.

I think you have slightly more breathing room between sign up and getting to RnR than you would if TSMM was your destination. When I did Jedi Sign ups, we were there right when the gates opened, but didn't run to be first in line at the building. We were done in about 20 minutes and went to RnR where the wait was still short (15 or so). By the time we got out, it was long, so we couldn't do back-to-back rides though. TSMM was already a long wait according to the app by the time we were just heading to RnR.

The sign ups are in the old Sounds Dangerous building. I think it's still marked on the map as "sounds dangerous". It's not at the actual show stage right beside the Star Tours ride, but it is on the way there from the entrance. If you head that way (and follow quite a few running parents) you'll see the sign as you approach.
