In the new calendar that has been posted on the Disneyland website, it doesn't list the Jedi Training schedule in April. Does anyone know if it's just too early still and hasn't been added yet, or if it's not up because it won't be run during April? I hope it's not the latter! We're already booked for April and my DS is most looking forward to the chance to become a padewan jedi and battle Darth Vader!

I have found that the DL calendar is sort of updated in stages. First they seem to put up the general hours, then gradually begin to add the various shows, parades, ride closures etc. So I am betting you are fine, just keep checking back as your trip gets closer.

If your DS brings a sign to hold up when they are picking the kids, it will increase his chances. The signs are very visible from where the Jedi Master is choosing the kids and it gives them something to refer to........."The person with the sign in the orange shirt". Signs have always worked for everyone that I have heard of who was using them. Good luck and have fun!:)

We just used a poster board and made a sign with a magic marker. (It also had pictures on it.....A Jedi knight and Darth Maul). My DS's said "Jedi Master, please pick me!". Other people have had signs that say "The force is strong with me!" etc. We just put the poster board in our suitcase and then rolled it up like a tube to carry it in my backpack. My DS was the 3rd one picked and 2 of those kids had signs. They really do work great!

The popularity of the Jedi training is always huge so I would be surprised if they pulled it in Spring of 2008. I bet your kid will get to enjoy it. I just wish they had that Jedi stuff back when I was a kid, during the original trilogy releases!

Alright now you got me,

What kind of sign????

DD and her friend had them yesterday. They made them on the computer on regular paper, said, "The Force is With Me", "Jedi's Rule", "No Dark Side Here!". We folded them up and kept them in my camera bag. No sweat.

They both got picked! Even though at 11 they were some of the biggest kids. They both love Star Wars and love doing the Jedi Training Academy.
