Jedi Training Academy

We arrived mid-day on 2/11 for our first day and they still had late afternoon openings. Crowds were very light that day though. I'd suggest trying on an EMH day. If you go on a regular day, pre-opening breakfasts have the opportunity to book before the park opens.
They do but it's not going to be even remotely enough to impact availability that day.

We went the Saturday after Thanksgiving, had the 10:30 show and there were still spots left when we checked in for our show.

Good to know!
We were wanting the first show of the day, didn't know how much impact pre-opening breakfast would have. We were on a tight schedule that day and didn't want to take any chances. I was surprised they had availability so late in the day on the 11th- but times didn't work for us that day.

This is a good point. If you can only accept a specific time slot then yes, you better be sure you are there first, or in the first handful of guests. If you are just after any spot that day it's less critical

Do the kids actually have to be there or can hubby hoof it up there with their bands. Just asking because they may not be able to "run" at rope drop.

When we went the kids had to be there at booking, that's what made it such an ordeal as all the family had to be there. We went in August last year, and 30 mins or so after opening almost every slot was taken so i guess it all depends on the time of year?!

Oh no! Well, I guess they are all running! A Disney trip should not be so stressful! I imagine that there will be marathon runners waiting at rope drop. That's not us. Nor can we book a PPO breakfast in order to get in faster.

We are going in May. I don't know how the crowds in May compare to August though. I imagine it will still be busy. What's the quickest route from the entrance? Again, it's been a while since we've been so I can't even visualize where we need to go to sign the kids up!

thanks for your help!

We went in May last year and you don't need to run unless you really want an early morning show. Just get to the park before opening, pick a line toward the left and head directly there. We did that last year, were probably 50-60 people back in the line, waited probably 25 mins and we had our pick of shows after 11. The park did open for us at 8:40 so you do want to be sure to be there early but no sprinting was required. :smooth:
