Not sure if this should go here or on the Rumors board, but I just found this bit of information on an acting jobs list I'm on. It sounds like Disney is prepping a new show or adding to the Star Tours area of MGM. Here's the posting:

Actor Audition - Jedi Master

Disney Auditions is seeking athletic actors with strong interactive skills
to portray the Jedi Master for a new experience at the Disney-MGM Studios;
Temporary full time and part-time positions are available.

The Jedi Training Academy experience will allow Park Guests, young and the
young-at-heart, to "Feel The Force" as the Jedi Master instructs them in the
ancient art of wielding a lightsaber.

Sounds like it'll be fun!

Maybe this is for the upcoming Star Wars Weekends in June? I know they had Jedi training acadamy before where the kids could get up and practice using the force. It does say "temporary full time." Don't get me wrong. I'd love to see more Star Wars character interaction all year long!

I have seen this the last couple of years during Star Wars Weekends. They bring up a bunch of kids from the audience, give them Jedi robes and lightsabers to use (the flashlight kind), teach them some moves and then let them face off against the real Darth Vader! Can't really tell, but it sounds like the same show, and they might be looking to do it full time, not just during Star Wars weekends. The words "new" and "temporary" are throwing me off.

It is rather confusing, isn't it? It says "new experience", but from what you are saying, it's one that already exists, albeit only during Star Wars weekend (I've never been, so I had no idea). Who knows. It'd be cool if it becomes more permanent.

Very interesting. But I agree it sounds like a Star Wars weekend deal. Still......could be worth filing in the back of our minds.

Oooooh, please let this be permanent. And, BTW, please let adults partake in this!

I'd love to be Darth Sidious if given the chance. Forget the lightsabers. Give me the force lightning! That would be an amazing accomplishment for the Imagineers.
