Jedi Training Academy Tips

We are going on September 10th. This is suppose to be a slow week (crowd wise). If we are there at ropedrop do you think we will have any issues of getting a sign up time?

You shouldn't have a problem. Remember, DHS opens approximately 15 minutes before the scheduled opening... 8:45. And, don't go when it's an EMH morning for resort guests.

We will be at HS this Friday and my son wants to sign up for the training academy. Sign up will be in front of Indiana jones show correct? What is the best route to get there? I haven't been to HS in years. From the map it looks like you just go in the gate and hang left?

Gates open at 7:30. There is a 7:40 Stormtrooper opening show and then you can proceed to Indy. CMs will be directing the way... just keep left all the way to Indy and you will be fine.

Yep... in the park, hang a left. You can't miss it. Was just there last Friday. The CMs there do the rope-walk. i.e. you can't pass them. There was no running that other ppl seem to be talking about. They fast-walked and you had to stay behind the rope, and they lead you right to the JTA sign-up and point you into the queue.

It wasn't bad at all, signing up for this. The only person pushing (and tripped our 7-!) was a guy trying to pass him to get back to Darth's Mall.

So, if there are early morning hours starting at 8 (and I'm staying onsite that day), and Touringplans suggests a crowd level of 3 for that day, what time would a person need to be there to likely get a Jedi time.

Park opens at 9. Would 8:30 be OK then, or is that even too risky?

For onsite and EMH, getting there at 8 will ensure a spot. 8:30 can be risky especially if it is only one training group per session = 15 Younglings.
