So I got a new pair of Liz Claiborne Jeans with lycra in them. I have got the colored jeans just like them(black, brown etc) and had no trouble. I have worn them and washed them twice and each time they stretch. I start out the day with a nice fitting pair of jeans and as the day progresses they get looser and looser and my belt gets tighter and tighter. They are sagging and sloopy by days end! :o Help! Is this pair defective or am I doing something wrong? Any way to remedy the situation? I am drying them until crisp.

Is there more lycra content in the new pair? I often find darker colored jeans, like black, usually fit smaller than typical blue jeans - without lycra. Maybe you could have gotten a size smaller. If you've only worn them twice, maybe you could return them as defective. It wouldn't hurt to call the store wehre you bought them and ask.

Drying them in the dryer may be wearing down the lycra. Dryers tend to be nasty to all elasticized materials.

But I'd check with the store, and read the attached care label.

Good luck.

I put them on a med-low setting in the dryer. Perhaps I will try cool and take them out still damp next time. They are low riders and getting lower and longer by the hour...glad I had on chunky heels today. ::yes:: I will take them back if that fails and see if I can try another pair, maybe smaller!
