I'm a jeans & tshirts girl-- I wear them every day. I don't even own a pair of shorts, or knit 'yoga' pants- I don't do dresses or skirts, or even capris. I wear jeans in humid 100+ degree Kentucky Summer's. I'm wondering if I will seriously regret wearing long demin jeans to the parks on our trip in early October.

Thanks so much!!

It was hotter for our October trip then our August trip a few years ago. I am a jeans/tee girl, too, but I at least broke out the denim capris that year. Yes, it will be miserable. And chafing.

Buy some capris. Yoga, athletic, denim, etc. You will not regret it..

I love my jeans but they are way to heavy for the parks (to me) except during winter. I have worn loose fitting Capri style jeans in October and even they were too much once they got wet or during the heat/sweat of the day.

Hey from another Kentucky girl :hippie:

Early October can still be very warm--even hot. I'm thinking that the biggest issue with jeans would be if you got wet, rain or water rides. Having chaffed inner thighs and trying to walk the distances required could make for a very miserable vacation.

I almost never wear shorts or skirts but do wear capri's in the hot weather. For our rainy and warm days (just low to mid 70's) at WDW I wore nylon hiking/active pants with sun protection built in. They stay cool and dry quickly.

Hello also from another KY girl :) I'm too am a only Jeans and tshirt girl year round , but I would not do jeans in WDW. Way too hot and I agree the thigh chafing would be miserable. Too heavy and hot for Disney. And wet would be horrible. I just get some light material capris and wear them. Walmart has some cute ones this time of year.

Well, I live in Fl and don't wear jeans (or pants, really) except in December and January when it's "cold." The average high temps in early Oct are 84-87. And humidity can range from 50-100%, with an average 40-something % chance of rain. If that sounds like jeans weather, then go for it. But I personally would not under any circumstances short of a freak cold front wear jeans to a Fl theme park in October. ;)

I live in FL too and wear jeans in the parks all the time, not in the summer though. Jeans are okay in Oct if you are used to wearing them. Wear something like blister block to help with the chaffing or just take it slow.

Don't forget the rides where you will get wet, do you really want to wear wet jeans around all day?

Except for the months of December,January and February the only clothing I wear to the parks (or at home, since I live in Florida) are light moisture wicking shirts and shorts, even those cargo shorts have disappeared from my closet.

I wore jeans once in WDW and it was December. It was cold at home, so I had worn them on the plane. I really regretted not packing shorts in my carryon! I was miserable all day. I will never wear jeans in WDW again.

I'm a jeans year-round girl as well. I've worn them at WDW in October and didn't suffer too much. :thumbsup2 It's worth noting that all my jeans are loose-fitting, I don't think tight ones or "jeggings" would be comfortable at all.

Way back, when I was young and very self conscious about the way I looked, I wore jeans all the time--even to WDW. In July.

I'm not kidding. It was hot, miserable, and I was extremely cranky. I don't understand how I did the entire 10 days in jeans.

BUT, from that time forward I have worn only Bermuda shorts or capri's (I still hate my legs). The only time I wore jeans was one New Year's Eve trip. That trip I even wore capri's on the plane. Only packed the jeans "just in case." Ended up wearing them the entire trip! I have never been that cold in my life--and I live in New England! lol!

My advice is to invest in a pair of lightweight capri's just in case it's really hot. I promise, you won't regret having them with you!

If you're used to wearing jeans all the time you will probably be fine. My biggest concern would be the jeans getting wet, either on a ride or by rain. I can't think of anything more undomfortable than wet jeans.

I always wear jeans or capris when we are in the parks November - early March. The one time we went over Labor Day weekend, I wore loose-fitting exercise capris.

I wear jeans all the time and that includes in the parks. If it's what you are used to then you will be fine. Plus...I think people underestimate the amount of time you actually spend INSIDE for rides, queues, shows, shops, restaurants, etc. I couldn't wear shorts or capris because I would be too darn cold in all those other places.

I wear mostly jeans too but rarely in the parks. We usually go in June or August and it's just too hot.

Why not bring some light denim or cotton capris or cargo shorts just in case? I'd hate for you to show up with only jeans and hate wearing them.

My husband wears jeans in the parks in July and August with no problems. If you're used to wearing them in the heat then it shouldn't be a problem.

I only wore full jeans at the parks in Dec. 2010 when they had some pretty cold temperatures. I wear shorts (some may wish that I didn't) during the summer. If it was going to be in the mid 60s, then I would probably wear the capris.

Lol, yeah, I wouldn't even think of it! I don't even pack them! I live in Florida & I wear jeans a few times, maybe, in December.

OP if you are used to it, you might not mind. For me it would be utter torture. October is still very warm here.

I live for yoga pants! Lol
