jeafl's MIL Christmas Guft thread 2010

Hi all,

I haven't popped in for ages, but I had to come look for jeafl's annual gift thread. I did a search and combed the top 25 pages of the CB with no luck. Did I miss it? It's one of my favorite holiday traditions...

I PM'd her the other day and asked if she was going to post one this year..she replied that they weren't having their family get together till Dec 17,but that she hasn't decided yet if she will post about it..apparently several DIS'ers made some nasty comments about her posts last year and she's not so willing to get put throught that again. It's a shame..cause most of us really enjoyed her threads..they made the holiday complete. So DIS'ers , please, if you don't want to read her thread..then don't..pass it, don't open it, put her on ignore, don't comment negatively just for the heck of it, and spoil it for her and the rest of us who really do want to read it!

I hope she decides to share with us again! Her annual Christmas gift thread is one of the funniest ones here, on the DIS. It just wouldn't be Christmas on the DIS without them!

Yeah, I don't see why those of us who love the thread should suffer because of some nincompoops who see the humor in it. Those of us who have been on the boards for awhile all know what's in the thread. If you don't like it then DON'T OPEN THE THREAD.

Well, that's a shame. JeaFL has always come across as a classy lady, not one to offend or derogate others. I never saw malice in what she posted about the gifts. I hope she'll post this year.

I keep checking in too! Not only that but every time my mother calls she asks, did that lady post her funny Christmas story yet this year??? I have read them to her in the past on the phone and they just make her year! At this point I don't think she is calling to talk to me, but just to see if the story has been posted!

Couldn't agree more! Anyone with a half decent sense of humor can tell Jeafl is a lovely lady and is just having fun!

Don't you just hate it when someone wants to rain on your parade just because they don't agree with your humor? Her Christmas Gift threads are some true classics and make/made the disboards interesting to read!

I'm really hoping to see another one this year because they are truly enjoyable and make me smile.

I have been waiting and waiting for the Jeanfl Christmas thread. She has to realize that there is no way that she (or any of us that post on the DIS) will make everyone happy. That should not stop her from posting. People just have to learn to bypass the thread by not opening it. Simple as that.

Jeanfl - if you're reading this, please, please, please give us a bit of Christmas cheer by posting your annual thread.

Yes!!! The Cookie Monster top is forever branded in my brain!! Whenever I need a lift, I think of it.

I cannot believe that somehow people turned her thread into something bad How terrible!!!

My dm (karensi) got a bad gift one year (I think pistassicos LOL) from her sil and we talked about it being a jeafl gift

I hope she posts and dismisses those that find no humor in our mils
