Jeafl's Christmas gift threads - a huge hit!!

DD's IL's came over tonight and we decided we would all order out from the Italian place.. After dinner we were all sitting around talking and we ended up in a silly mood because of something DGD said.. It reminded me of Jeafl's Christmas gift threads, so I found the threads (including the "graduations"), printed them out and read them to everyone..

I don't think I have ever heard people laugh so hard or so loud in my entire life, tears streaming down their faces, and DGD must have fallen off her chair at least twice..

After much discussion, we have decided that Jeafl is actually the reincarnation of Erma Bombeck.. She is hilarious - and really should seriuosly consider writing a book.. It would ZOOM to the top 10 list!!

So now they are all anxiously awaiting the "next installment"..

Jeafl - I don't know what you do for a living, but you just totally won over a very tough crowd..

No pressure, but there's an awful lot of people waiting for your annual Christmas gift thread.. LOL..

she normally got them at the end of November- when they saw the MIL. don't know if that has changed this year.
And I agree. They crack us up! That cookie monster sweater is a classic!

I had never read her posts before but thought, aw what the heck, I will see how funny they are. Well, I have been hysterically laughing for the last 10 minutes and truly believe I will be laughing for days when I recall some of her "treasures". Hilarious!!!! I was thinking that, although her gifts are "challenged", she has given her family the best gift of all--the gift of laughter. But never at her expense and always with love

The "Have A Meowy-Christmas" tee shirt was one of the ones that caused my DGD to fall off of her chair..

I decided to check out the Community Board and came across this thread. I'm sure glad I did! These gifts are hilarious. I've met some bad gift givers before but this lady, God love her, wins the prize! I'm waiting with bated breath for the 2009 installment.
