so 2 people flying Buf to MCO mid March at March break (very busy) on a Sunday
cost for SW is marginally more ($60 total for 2)
SW- leaves 1 hr later, gets in at same time, no plane change but 1 stop in BWI
Jetblue- bigger seats I hear (Iam 200 llbs so worried re SW)
TV
cost is a little less
but have to change planes in JFK

so I am leaning towards SW due to no plane change
any opinions or advice

Two adults ?

Sorry I haven't flown SW yet. We are flying them this April out of Buffalo too. In our case JB was about $200 pp if we flew out of our normal destination so we opted for SW.

I love JB though and that would always be my 1st choice. If its only 2 adults then I'd probably fly JB, save a little more and relax. It's easy to get to and from JetBlue's flights in the NY area. Gates have always been close for us.

Did you figure in baggage cost too - If your only 1 checked per person you're fine and both are the same but if you have a 2nd bad JB will charge.

Are you paying extra for SW Early Bird? Just thinking if thats part of your cost too.

However I guess the first thing that comes to mind for me being from around there I'd say think about its still Winter Season for us. I prefer direct flights and wishful thinking if we leave Buffalo were actually going to make it and not have to worry about getting to NYC to find out we're stranded.

I'm just hoping I love SW just as much as JB on our trip

It would come down to the connection point for me - I'd much rather connect through BWI than JFK. There is always a possibility that the SWA flight will require a plane change (I've had it happen before) but I'd still rather connect through BWI.

FYI - at JFK JetBlue has thier own terminal, a nice one. And the seats are a little bigger.

IMO I will always go out of my way to fly JetBlue. We have been flying back and forth 3-4 times a year to Orlando and not once did I ever have a complaint.
Last December during a period of really nasty weather, SW cancelled/postponed all their flights from Buffalo. Our flight on JetBlue was only 15 minutes late in departing.
Also FYI - JetBlue does fly nonstop between Buffalo and Orlando

thanks all
yes 2 adults
Idecided to go with SW even though really wanted to fly JB
reason- it is winter and I felt better to go through BWI than risj winter weather in NYC
plus currently the SW flight does not require plane change (therefore less luggage risk), and we leave an hour later and get in same time

Thanks again
