this morning. For all of us BDL users, there was a small notice on the front page of the Courant saying that Jet Blue was considering entering the Hartford market. No details and JB exec only said its being considered. Perhaps because SWA has cancelled so many flight from BDL? Wouldn't JB be a nice choice!!!!

Lucky you. I was disappointed when they went to Portland, ME and not Manchester, NH, but oh well. We can still hope. Until then we will fly out of Logan.

I heard something on NPR about that this morning. They said JetBlue is expanding to Reagan National in November of this year, and is considering more airports (BDL being one of them) after that. Hopefully they'll consider a lot sooner and I'll have more options for December!

I know for a fact that JetBlue is seriously considering Providence. In fact some say it may be close to a done deal. Here's hoping!

One thing to keep in mind is it doesn't mean they will fly non-stop to Orlando. Here in Pittsburgh, we were excited about Jet Blue coming in but they only fly to Boston & JFK.

I miss Song with the TV's on the plane.

With JB, it would be great if they fly out of BDL.

I just read the news, I hope they choose Bradley International.

The only key competition to fly directly into Orlando is Southwest and Delta, and their prices no longer seem to be competitive with the other Northeast departure cities. I welcome the competition and may the lower fare airlines win my patronage.

And Bradley is cheaper to park nearby, when compared to Boston or the NYC airports, and way easier to get in and out of.

I would be happy to see the round trip prices typically go back to around $250 round trip (including taxes, fees, etc). Even the DING Southwest fares seem to be hit or miss, and not as much to pick from during the last two years.

JETBLUE: Please make it happen !

I miss Song too, it was DELTA at it's best when they were fighting to stay alive during their Bankruptcy years. They had decent food you could buy, a fun attitude like Southwest of years ago, and a staff that seemed friendlier than their Delta counterparts.

I was amazed that as soon as Delta was out of bankruptcy protection, they lost all of their positive Song changes, and went back quickly to the conservative Delta attitude. Now Delta flights from Bradley to Orlando, have no decent food to offer to purchase, no LCD screens, and no on demand movies to purchase, but they do have higher prices with less non stop flights.

JETBLUE, I can love you too!

I read this in my local paper too! I would love another option from BDL to MCO. Although, the prices for this April break were so outrageus we are taking the train.

AND, I loved SONG! The little TVs were priceless when travelling with children. I remember on one flight my son was watching TV as we were waiting to take off, and we ended up waiting an hour, once we had to turn the TVs off because of takeoff he thought we were already there since he was so oblivious to what was going on. Once in the air, back to the TV.

And it indicates that it is close to a done deal and that Florida is a likely destination! I can't imagine it'll happen in time for this year's trip but I look forward to adding JB to my options in the future!!

and the flights I'm looking at for my early Sept trip on Delta, with taxes, are at $250 R/T. I'm waiting for much lower (and don't really expect to get it:(). We have typically paid less than $200 R/T, usually much less. And, with SW's pulling flights, Delta now is a much better choice even with bag fees since we only check 1 bag for the 2 of us for a week.

JB out of BDL would be great.:thumbsup2

I love flying them and do so for both business and pleasure. While I work in CT and live just over the border in MA, I take them out of Logan for 2 of my 3 business destinations as they have the best schedule and price combo for me. We also use them exclusively for vacation to Orlando.

Service out of BDL or even PVD would save me time and hassle - I hope they do it. I know every time I've filled out one of their online surveys I've mentioned I'd like them to add Bradley.

Wow. Fingers crossed. I've been posting comments to other threads lamenting the neglected status BDL seems to exude. I love the airport but they have so few flights. It would be fantastic to have them out of BDL. I hope this happens - and in time for me to book my Thanksgiving travel!!

I did the same thing last time I filled out their survey after flying with them out of HPN. I am keeping my fingers crossed that they come to BDL!!
