We have a teen who wants to listen to some live jazz music coming along on our trip this June. Is there any place at WDW where a minor can do this?

Thank you.

If all of you go into Pleasure Island, you can go to the Jazz Club that is there. Your teenager has to be accompanied by an adult though.

There is a Jazz Band that plays late afternoon/early evening in the lobby at The Grand Floridian. DS17 is in Jazz Band at school. Stopping here is always a must do on our trips.

Also, DS is a Jazz studies major who's bringing his trumpet to WDW in late May/ early June. So if he comes over to OKW, he can listen to DS practicing (our poor neighbors!-I'll have to make sure he speaks to them). Seriously (and for better entertainment), Steve Soars website lists the live entertainment schedule at PI Jazz Company. One of the performers there often is Eliot Dyson, and I highly recommend him if your son gets a chance to listen to him.

Thanks for posting this. My daughter is also currently in the middle school jazz band which she is really enjoying. Though she did not get selected this time around for the highschool jazz band (positions go mainly to juniors and seniors not freshman) she is sticking with band so she can continue to try out in future years.

I think we too will have to go check out the jazz club one night.:smooth:
