Displaying your medals

Curious what everyone does with hanging up their medals? I currently have mine upstairs on the wall all together but going to move them to the basement by my treadmill and was wondering if people separate their rundisney medals from their non rundisney medals? Or do you just put them all together? Trying to decide what I want to do since I am moving mine. If you have pictures I would love to see them. Thanks

Funny, I was just looking for a Coast to Coast specific medal display on Etsy.
I keep my Disney separate from non RunDisney. They are all in my basement in my "gym" area. I love looking at them and they do provide a level of motivation when I am down there working out or on the treadmill.
I have also separated out any virtual race medals as well (not pictured). For Darkside Challenge I gave them their own shadowbox.
The Disney rack i bought from Gone For a Run and mounted to the front of a shelf I made that has cup hooks underneath for more space (it's kind of hard to see in the picture).

I have mounted several boards to the wall in my basement behind my treadmill. I like it but I’ve already run out of room so I’m thinking of moving the rD ones to something else to clear up some space.

Tangentially related, for Christmas this year my partner framed my medal from Paris 2024. I still haven’t decided if this will be hidden in the basement or displayed somewhere more prominently.



I absolutely love this but there’s no way I have enough wall space to frame them all or even the “special” ones. The framing treatment is reserved for extra special once in a lifetime events.

We hung up a curtain rod in our fitness room and have all our medals combined. We also put up some metal underneath to hang all of our Run Disney magnets!

Mine are all together on racks in reverse chronological order, so the newest stuff is on top. I keep a separate rack for the current year and then transfer everything to the other racks in January. I'll have to dig up photos and add them to this post later.

They are all in the gym where I can see them from my treadmill.

I have sort of a medal tree on a countertop from amazon, it’s honestly not ideal but works for now. It’s gotten full and I’m at the point where I swap out some and put them in storage. Eventually I’ll probably get something that makes more sense on the wall or as a rack.

My Dopey medals from my one dopey weekend are on their own board that I bought off Etsy. Wife just gave me a Disney specific metal hanger and my rD medals will be on that, and then my other medals will go on the generic hanger that I already have. The only metal that I have framed is from my first half, because at the time I never imagined that there would be subsequent races of such distance or longer. Oops…

My RunDisney medals are kept on a medal hanger I bought at a RunDisney Expo several years ago. Non Disney medals are in a drawer.
