Jay-nee's journal

So, Beth, you came out of hiding, eh? Well, nice to meet you officially! :flower:

Jen -> you must mean that your friend, Steve, is coming home in 17 days! How long for? Or did I miss something?

Also, Jen, yes, I think this checking up on each other each day thing is working for both of us, so keep up the great work! :teeth:

Hi Kathy! Yep, I am doing well keeping at this again. It's funny now that I'm back to exercising, I realize how much I missed it! (yep, weirdo here!) But, it's so hard to fit it in! Today is insane here. Yesterday was even worse...

Well, I have to get something together for dinner so I've gotta jet.

Happy Wednesday all! :sunny: :sunny:

Jay-nee

Hope you are doing well. Did you exercise again today?

Had another massage to try and relax some muscles. Need to stretch quads to take pressure off hams.

Have a great Friday. Enjoy your day.

how was your day yesterday jaynee? Yesterday was my day off, but im ready to go again today after work :) have a great friday

I took Wednesday off, but my exercise minutes are still ok. ;)

I did exercise last night, plus the bike tech is coming on Monday to fix my exercise bike (yep again). Boy, I must be hard on that poor bike! I hope it is fixed for good this time. :)

Other than that, things are going pretty well. My ex-H is coming tomorrow to, hopefully, fix 2 leaks in my basement wall. I am so hoping that they will truly be fixed this time! Wish me luck!

Today, I am at the car dealership getting my squealing brakes looked at. Keep your fingers crossed for me that it's not a big deal, ok?

Jen -> I'm so happy for your family (and Steve!) that Steve will be back soon and SAFE!

Happy Friday all! :sunny: :sunny:

HAPPY FRIDAY JAYNEEEEEE
You are doing so great, i am very proud of you my friend!! were all allowed days off sometimes--i took mine yesterday :)
How is your car? everything okay??

Have a great weekend--ill check in with you tomorrow

My car is fixed - $933.18! OMG, I really can't afford all this stuff! argh...

It seems that my squealing brakes meant I needed new front brake pads - something like $400 for that. Then, I also needed new shocks in the rear, that was another $250-ish. Plus, my car needed its 80,000 check-up and that was like $150. Plus, odds and ends - light bulbs out, problem with the door lock, etc. - total $933.18, plus about 5 hours sitting in the waiting room too.

Then the kids and I went to this Anime/Manga shop a few towns over, that was fun! The kids love this stuff. Most of what they are asking for at Xmas is Anime/Manga related. Thankfully they like the kid-oriented shows/books so far! ;)

Then, of course, to the bookstore (our family favorite) and home. My DS got a another Japanese CD, he loves this stuff. Fun music even though you can't sing along. :confused3 I guess I'll have to learn Japanese.

I just "found" one of my best friends from HS. It's been fun reconnecting. Life is pretty good these days. Now, if only we could step away from these unexpected bills. :guilty: Thankfully, I had an Emergency Fund (thanks to David Bach and Dave Ramsey - yep, I put the steps into action!), but now I need to refund my emergency fund. But, at least I actually had the money. whew...

Happy Saturday! :sunny: :sunny:

P.S. My vision is blurry this morning. Anyone know what can cause you to wake up with blurry vision? I'm going on WebMD to see what they say...

o no jaynee! i was really hoping it wasnt going to be alot to get your car worked on--doesnt it alwys happen when you really dont want it to happen?! You definitely deserve a relaxing weekend --or at least a restful one!!

No idea about blurry vision...did you find anything out?

Hope your blurred vision went away. I sometimes have problems woth blurred vision when I wake up still tired and stressed.

Hope your are having sunshine today and are enjoying your day.

I have been lazy the last 2 days exercise wise but plan on doing a 6 mile walk today. Erin and Lynne are both signed up the the WDW races. Erin is supposed to do the half with me but the orthopedic surgeon she goes to laughed when she asked if she would be ready to do it. She has been having trouble with her knees for about a year. Lynne is going to run the full on Sunday for the Mickey medal.

Thanks for stopping by my journal. I need to concentrate on keeping it up.

No rest for the weary yesterday and, yes, I was stressed!

ex-H came over yesterday with my nephew to help dig up 2 parts of my foundation to reseal the leaks - so, keep you fingers crossed for me! I think we may have licked it this time, but I'll know when we get some significant rain - which I am not wishing for! ;)

Car seems to be running better now, so, hopefully, I'll get a breather for a while now.

Since I shoveled a bunch yesterday, I did not ride my bike, but I did get plenty of exercise!

The bike tech is coming tomorrow to fix my bike. Supposedly this is a new type of the same part and is supposed to fix my problem for good, so we'll see!

No problem with blurred vision once the day got underway, but it took about 1 1/2 hours to go away. I am going to the Dr on Wednesday so I will mention it then.

BTW, yesterday was gorgeous! Unbelieveable. I even got my front lawn mowed. I still have to redo the back one more time. Can you believe it? It's Nov and the grass still needs mowing!

Well, I hope everyone has a great day!

Happy Sunday! :sunny: :sunny:

Don't forget to count your yard work yesterday as exercise.

I'm Lynne, Kathy's oldest daughter, the "runner". What she may not have mentioned is that I live in coastal southern ME. I'm a second year medical student at University of New England. Where in ME are you?

Blurry vision can be caused by all sorts of things so make sure to get it checked out. Have a good day and thanks for posting on Mom's journal. I'm going to give her a hard time about keeping it up.

Hi Jay-nee-

I just read a few pages of Jen's journal and thought I should come take a look at yours as well. I think it's great that the two of you check up on each other - really seems to work well for you both.

I went back a few pages in your journal. Wow, you have really been through a lot the last few months. I'm impressed with how well you stick with your workouts. Good for you!

Hope you had a restful Sunday. Lynne said it was cold along the coast.

Have a great Monday..

Hi jaynee-hope you had a great monday!!!!!!!!! I did 30 minutes today...not as much as i wanted, but still getting some in..
hope you are able to have a week that is a bit more relaxing for you!

Your grass still needs mowing? I'm going to say on behalf of my hubby LUCKY!!!! We haven't mowed ours in about three months, of course it's pretty dry here and has been that even our watering it hasn't helped it.

I'm glad to hear your car is running better. I have been there with car repairs having to be done when it seems like everyone else and their :dog: wants money too and it's no fun. Hope it's all healthy now and will last. :)

Hope the rest of your Sunday, and your Monday went well. :)

Hope you are having a great day. Glad your car is running better.

Thanks for checking on me. Mondays are always hectic and I very rarely get any home comp time.

Things are ok, but today is another hectic one. I have that sense of dread today (ever get that?). I am trying to take one minute at a time, but I am feeling overwhelmed.

I started to list some stuff on eBay again. First, I need the money and, second, I need to clean my house out. I so wish that I could have a yardsale, but it sooooo cold. I hate that it takes so long to list stuff on eBay (we have dial-up), but, hopefully, some of this winter stuff will sell and I can get my house to where we just have the stuff we use and the stuff we want. I just need to plug away at it...

The bike tech came and my bike still is not fixed. Now the rechargeable battery is dead, so he ordered that. He said I might be able to get it to charge itself if I ride it for an hour or so. The only problem is that its stuck on level 8 or 9 (of a 10 scale), so it's a killer! Not sure I even want to do an hour at that!

Oh well, no rest for the weary...

Thanks all for stopping by.

Happy Tuesday! :sunny: :sunny:

P.S. Dam and I even gained 2 lbs this week. Help!!!!!
