Nothing has been officially announced yet and I don't expect an official announcement anytime soon. Lots of rumors though.

From what I have heard JAWS is being demolished to make way for yet another Harry Potter themed land. This land being London and the train station that takes Potter and his friends to Hogwarts.

Or so I heard anyway. Personally, I think it is a horrible thing to see yet another classic go down! As I said in one of my other posts, why they felt the need to kill JAWS and not rides like Twister and Disaster both of which I find to be dated and boring I'll never know!

REST IN PEACE JAWS! We'll miss ya!!!

That's what most people's money is on. I am a holdout, however, and can't quite bring myself to believe it with the logistical issues it would introduce. We'll see.

Might make sense to bring in Transformers the ride. Like the one they built in Hollywood. The buidling for that ride is HUGE.

I hate them for taking out Jaws but since it's history now I have to move forward and even though I'm not a real Potter fan the "RUMOR" of the train going back and forth between IOA with a Gringots coaster going in the Jaws site totally intrigues me as I would like to see what they create with this,just to see how they could make a realistic train ride with the backlot buildings right next to the train alone make me hope this is what will get built .Something like Transformers going in would be OK but I wouldn't consider it a worthy replacement for Jaws,it's simply Spider Man with another film,if you want to build it use the area by the old Hard Rock Cafe or find a spot next to MIB.The way I look at it that Potter "RUMOR" is major and people are flocking to Universal for Potter,if they build this the money just continues to pour in and new additions and attractions follow for the future,that makes not only Universal better but Disney has to follow and keep building.

The footprint for the building is not so big --- much smaller than the Spiderman building in IOA. There is way more space in the Jaws area than the footprint for the Transformers building. The Transformers ride is pretty much the same as the Spiderman ride with a different film. The ride technology is the same. I'd be surprised if they bulldozed Jaws for Transformers.

I don't think that Universal is going to be in the Hogwarts Express to link US and IOA. That would mean that they would have to put turnstiles and ticket scanners at both ends of the track. They aren't going to drop their park to park option just to put in a train ride. I can see them putting in something Transformers though....It was a big, big film series. It might be a good counter to Disney's Avatar area...

That would be great,the entrance for Dragon Challenge is just not up to par.It used to be a great entrance with two huge dragon statues with a great queue,dueling trains and after Potter came in it and killed all these,no more dueling(I know not Potter's fault),lackluster entrance and the interior queue is just so much more plain.

You're right, I don't pay attention to attendance numbers. I just don't see it being feasibly to put it in. There are too many obstacles to dodge plus a high school about a half mile away.
