Jaws is open

Jaws is back open (yesterday) after refurbishment.

Did they make any changes to this ride? I've heard for years that the ride would be modernized.

Modernized? In what way? Except for the fakeness of the sharks and some of the background props looking cheap & outdated, the rest of it's special effects have held up well.

I'm not sure how it was suppose to modernize, but a few years ago I person working at Universal told me the ride was going modernize. He said that they would add more scare to it.

Even though the ride is old. I love this ride. It is also my 8 year old's favorite ride. He knows the lines that the boat drivers say and gets really into it with them. He has a plan to work there when he is in college.

basically what people are trying to say is over the past few months there have been rumors that they will change parts of the ride. IE when the fire starts they will change it so it surrounds more of the boat etc. so i think what people are asking is have they just refurbed it so it works fine or have they made modifications to the script of the ride.

rode jaws, loved it.

It was probally just me but it seemed a ' little' different to me from the last time I rode it way back in 98

I did not know it was down. so I guess my timing was perfect as this is a classic and must be riden.

We rode it on 10/16, it has been many years since I rode and it seemed a bit different. It is still an classic irregardless. There was about 10 people in front of us but we used express anyway so there'd be none. Man I loved EXPRESS!

We rode it last week and it did seem that maybe the lake area fire came closer to the boat?? It sure was hot!!!

There aren't any changes to the ride. They just did a little painting and also fixed some of the problems they had been having with the mechanics of the sharks.
