So, I just found out that trading with Jawas is a thing in the Launch Bay area. Any tips on getting something cool for your trade (Pins, for example)? Or just getting fun reactions?

I'm half tempted to offer some of those little mini bottles of booze you can get on airplanes....

We got good reactions from the Jawas by offering mardi gras type beads, especially gold colored ones. One Jawa very excitedly put the necklace on the top of their hood like a crown and showed it off to several people. We got one build a droid piece, a Vader pencil topper, and a Wet Wipe at different times.

I also offered to trade my sister which lead to the Jawa inspecting her, deciding they only wanted her left arm, and calling it off after discovering the arm was not removable. That was pretty great.

Something shiny always works well. We traded Las Vegas key chains and gambling chips (fakes, of course...lol). The Jawas reaction to gambling chips was priceless.

They will NOT trade food (so probably not booze either) nor anything dangerous (like pins without the safety backs).

Shiny objects work best. Don't be afraid to think outside the box. I saw them try to trade for a guests left shoe....only wanted the left one LOL. Go to you local dollar store a grab a few things...pins, magnets, stickers, beads etc.

They like shiny objects, but don't accept money.

I plan to go through my house and put together a little Baggie of trinkets (paper clips, pencil toppers, buttons, a Lego, broken toy bits).

the little bottles of booze won't make it through the bag check, just in case you are not kidding about bringing them in. I have seen plenty getting confiscated by security

Do they take bad children?
Are they shiny ;)
I invite everyone to join us in the SW thread, link on my signature.

We were successful with an empty altoids mint tin and a plastic buckle from a strap.

When I was there in April I didn't have anything to trade but they were very interested in my Alex & Ani bracelets. One of them kept grabbing my wrist. Good thing I knew what they were up to or I may have been a little concerned. LOL

We had great fun with them the past few trips. We traded a retractable charger chord for the phone (that was wouldn't charge any more, but would still retract), they loved that they could do things with it. Blinking rings from the party area at Target, they went crazy for them because they lit up. They tried to trade back a sticker and we turned that down, they ended up giving us glo-sticks.
Don't be afraid to negotiate with them while trading, and trade items that are unusual, that they can do things with, they love to show off what they have gotten with each other.

The things they went crazy over when we traded were 4th of July pen that had shiny streamers, a sparkly Frozen tiara and a Jedi skateboard keychain.
