Japanese Food & Wine Pairing: What's Your Story?

My castmember said they can't book them yet because they were still waiting on word about when the renovations to the Japan restaurants would be finished.

That sort of made sense to me since they recently pushed the opening date back to September 15.

What was YOUR excuse?

I was told they were all booked, which really doesn't make sense.

I was asked to call back tomorrow because he wasn't able to book that Event yet. This was at 7:05am I was his first call so it wasn't Sold Out.

I wish I had your cast member, Catherine. Mine told me they "weren't available", which I interpreted as being booked solid. I had a little bit of a scare because the first words out of my mouth were, "I am booking the food and wine events", and yet he asked, "What time?" when I mentioned the Signature Dinner at California Grill.

When he told me the amount he was charging me, I knew he had the correct thing booked. But it didn't stop him from asking me my cc info for each event I wanted.

I'm going to try back later to see if the Japan pairings are still "down" or not.

Here's what I got in an email from the BW concierge this morning:

"We have not yet been able to book the Wine Pairings at Japan, because it is not yet available to book, due to construction at the restaurant. We do anticipate that the event will still take place, but we do not know when it will book."

So far the IPO has been terrific, so this is probably reliable.

Just wanted to let anyone know who was waiting on these - I was just notified by the IPO that they had booked my sushi pairing for 10/29.

There's no way that I'm going to call Disney Dining again for this, even if they ARE booking that thing.
