Japan Dining

They are totally different dining experiences. We enjoy both.
Teppan Edo is a hibachi style. You sit at communal tables for 8 around the hibachi grill. A chef stir fries your order while entertaining you.
Tokyo Dining is much more formal. You sit at your own table and there are window tables too. They specialize in sushi and prepare it in an open kitchen right there. They also serve tempura and grilled entrees.
You can't go wrong with either.

Are you traveling with kids or adults only? Most kids would prefer the food and chef show at Teppan Edo. I have enjoyed both but as an adult prefer Tokyo Dining for the food (tempura & sushi), the window table view (gorgeous view of the Lagoon and if lucky, you can catch the drum show . . . ask at check-in for a window table and if none available, politely advise that you are prepared to wait for one . . . I have never waited more than 15 mins) and the slower pace. I find Teppan Edo to be a more rushed experience with a faster table turnover while Tokyo Dining is often less busy and more serene.

My kids (10 and 7) love Tokyo Dining. They do love sashimi and sushi at home. My 3 year old placed her first order by herself here (from her mouth to waitress): pink drink. That's not exactly on the menu. She was trying to ask for the smoothie she had at GFC. The waitress was wonderful with the kids, my toddler happily drank a frozen virgin drink, and adults enjoyed a beautiful, calm setting.

Can you get the same hibachi dinner at Tokyo as you do at Teppan Edo, minus the chef in front of you?

Thanks!
