I haven't been to US in ages, so I could really use some advice. I'm not sure what the crowds/wait times are like. We'll be in Orlando from Friday, January 22-Sunday January 24. The original plan was to do MK, SW and DHS. But DHS will fall on either an EMH or Fantasmic day. Not good for crowds. I'm seriously considering doing MK, US and IOA instead this year.

What will US and IOA be like on Saturday and Sunday? Should I avoid them, or will they be manageable? Will the FOTL pass make the waits really short? Would either park be a better choice for one of those days than the other?

Thanks for any info!

We went this past January and had FOL passes (stayed on site). Virtually no waits anywhere on Saturday and Sunday with the passes.

You won't need Express access in January as the parks are generally slow...you should be fine.

That's good to know since I'm taking my DD15 and trying to talk her into US/IOA for two days between Jan 23 - 27.

We went last Monday (10/5) and Tuesday (10/6) and the wait times were pretty quick. I did not see too many people using their FOTL resort pass. We got to FIre and Ice about 10/10:30 and rode 4 times using the re-ride line. Several times we were in the front row of FIre with no one else on our car and maybe 10 people (and I"m being generous) on Ice. Spiderman was a walk on, Hulk was about 10-20 minutes depending of if it had just broken down again.:confused3 We didn't do the water rides as I didn't want to get soaked so I'm not sure of the times for those. Did Mummy 3 times at opening without a full car any trip. MIB wait was 3 - 5 minutes. Rode Simpsons around 1 pm with a 20 minute wait. It was the longest line we stood in the whole time besides Rip Ride Rock-It (which is now one of my fav coasters and made BTMR and RnRC seem even laimer).
