Hi. It's been a long time since I've been on the boards. We were in the world last October. My daughter and I are thinking about going with two year old granddaughter at the end of January. We probably will only stay for 3 nights--that will be enough for her first trip. My brother lives in Vero Beach and we will go there for a few days.

My question is: after comparing prices it seems that the moderates are only about two hundred dollars more that the value resorts. We have always stayed at POfq and once at Boardwalk. How do the values compare to other resorts? What about transportation (busses)?

How is disney at the end of January?

Thanks!

Disney is relatively quiet at that time, but not empty of course.

The value resorts are just that, a great value. The rooms are colorful, nice, some say smallish, but then so are WL and the Boardwalk, for the money. The values have the food courts which make eating much more cost effective.

Buses are just as reliable for values as for others, moreso when it comes to the deluxe resorts stopping at several different resorts!

I think you'll enjoy a value. Give it a try. You may find it's the best move you've made in a long time! :D

Thanks. Anyone know how long of a bus ride it is to the magic kingdom?

all I know is the CM at disney dining told me to allow 45 mins to get to Boma ( breakfast at 9:30) from Fort Wilderness, about same distance I would think.
