My sister works for an airline and they have a wicked deal on flights to Disneyland. So I am trying to make a quick decision if January is a good month to go. I was planning on January 12-19. Is this a good time to go. And I know at least The Haunted Mansion and Its a Small World will probably down at that time for the change over from christmas. Is there anything else I should worry about going then? I tried searching on the internet and couldnt come up with any info.

Thanks for the help.

The rumor regarding a BTMRR major refurb has moved from happening beginning Fall 2012 to January 2013. Nothing official from Disney though.

Keep in mind that January 18-21 is MLK Weekend and the Tinkerbell Half Marathon weekend, but it appears you are getting out of dodge in time.

We arrive on January 26th, and so far only BTMRR is rumored to be down, outside of some Princess meet and greet construction.

"Good time to go" is highly subjective. Some people love that time of year. For me I would rather go when the chance of rain is lower, the temperatures are likely to be higher and the refurbs are likely to be lesser. Crowds tend to be low in January and for some people that trumps everything.

Good luck!
