I'm putting today's question up slightly early because I'm out ice-skating this evening (plus I thought it would give everyone a few extra hours to ease themselves back into a quiz state of mind).
What better way to see in the first day of the new year than with some great beginnings?
This was a good effort from everyone, I can see I'm going to have work a lot harder if I want to catch you out.

The answer I was looking for was Beauty and the Beast, but it's been brought to my attention that this and Cinderella start with the same line, so one point for either.
