What are crowds like during MLK Day weekend? (Jan. 13-18)

And, what is weather like? I know we won't be able to swim ... but typical temps/weather info. would be appreciated.

Am I better off MLK Day weekend or President's Day in Feb?

Please advise! Thanks for any/all info.!

Both weekends are quite busy, but if you take advantage of EMH, you can get a lot done before noon.

it was the best trip we have ever had. (Out of 10 trip)We were there Friday and left Monday to come home. The crowds were not bad at all but it was extremely cold weekend and I think that the local people just stayed home. The lows at night were upper 20's and the high was around 40-45. Just pack for weather either way. Our daughter did swim that monday before we left it warmed up to the 60. The pools are heated so you stay warm as long as you are in the water. Have fun!! :teeth: :teeth:

What we experienced this year during MLK weekend and the following week--we will NOT be going to the parks again that time next year. I would liken the crowds to the last trip we made one summer--unbelievable!!! The weather ranged from the 40's to the 60's. I couldn't imagine January being so crowded.

It's funny how different people have differing views. Our family has been to WDW for three or four of the past MLK weekends and never had a problem. I think alot has to do with how you plan your trip. We arrive late on Thursday night and check in. Friday morning we get up early and spend the entire day at the MK. We get it out of the way first thing. Then we use Sat. & Sun. to park hop between the other three parks. Monday is our departure day, but we usually do not leave until early afternoon. We usually hit the Downtown Disney area, Disney Quest, and have a nice lunch before heading home. I think alot has to do with timing and planning. Since we know this will be a quick and short trip we get up early and get started doing as much as possible. We'll be back this Jan. for MLK weekend!

I forgot to say that the weather can be from one extreme to the other! We have worn shorts and tees one Jan. and coats, hats, and gloves the next.
