January Exercise Challenge!

Walked 3.5/Ran 3: Legs just weren't into it.
1 hour 43 minutes. Very slow. Thinking it's time for a new pair of running shoes.

Afternoon walk:
40 minutes

Total: 143 minutes (looks strange but I think it's right).

Brings me to:
1513/3000
 
48 mins run. I skipped my short run on Sunday because of the weather, but it only has gotten worse. 34 and raining right now!

However, dressed appropriately it actually felt pretty good. I layered up pretty well. My feet are still a little wet :(

That's walks, abs, some weights. Didn't leave the house this weekend since it was just too cold and icy. The dog was not pleased!

Friday my 5:30 AM walking group walked parking garage structures downtown. Very well lit and ice-free! My 7 AM group walked outside and I was really hoping I didn't fall since I hadn't made a pit stop between walks! :scared: :laughing: This morning's walks were very cold (27) but not slippery.

I've learned that when I start thinking its time for new shoes, I'm probably about two weeks overdue for them. Head to the store! It's not worth the pain or injury.

45 min speed work run on the mill. Felt good now, but I bet I'll feel it bad tomorrow!

Add another 60 from Cardio at the Y brings me to 395/800. Today was a rough go of it so hope that is a passing workout.... Wish me luck! :thumbsup2
 
Was a total bum and blew off yoga last night ( bad, bad, Kimmie!:sad2:)... Did manage to get in a 43 minute walk at lunch yesterday though so I'm up to 627/1300. Halfway through the month and almost halfway there. Better get the dupa moving!!:eek:
 
So I chose to stay home last night (dishes, sewing project, etc were looming) and did Cardio X for P90X. Just took a 25 minute walk during lunch to brng me to:

760/2013

I am SO motivated to reach my goal!!! :yay:
 
I'm back!! I was sidelined with the stomach flu :( today is my first day out of bed, thought I would do 20 minutes of Zumba- it was hard but I did it!

With the personal training and weight training I've been doing, plus the half marathon this past Saturday and LOTS of walking from resort to resort (avoided buses when possible to make up for all the yummy food), I am now at 1180/1300. Since I am so sick right now, I am not sure how many more minutes I'll get in and how soon. Going to keep plugging away. :goodvibes
