January Exercise Challenge **UPDATED Jan 7th**

Strength training Wed and walk with the dogs yesterday: 230/1000
 

thursday 70 mins powerwalking and stretching, today 65 mins elliptical and weights at fitness center ------------------- 670/1500

i guess i need 80 mins tomorrow to be on track for 1/2 way!

I know that I am not going to finish my challenge. I only haved 50/1000 but my health scare last week has left me w little down and not wanting to exercise. The nurse at the school that I teaach at found an irregular heartbeat. Nothing showed up on the test done in the hospital. I wore a halter monitor for 24 but the results of that have not come back yet (Tues afternoon). My regular doctor did see some things on my EKG but nothing out of the normal. Monday I go for an echocariiogram and then I have to set up a stress test. I am worried about the stress test because I have not been a walker for very long and if I go out too fast too soon my shins hurt not that I am out of breath. I

I have been on this board for almost a year and I have been doing exercise challenges for over 6 months and I have not had any problem but this entire scare has me worried. I hope to get back to some sort of normal routine next week.

Keep up the good work everyone. You can do it.
 
90 min at the gym today, finally! These colds and flu/sickness has been really annoying this winter! Anyhow, total now is 250/900, there is still time! :sunny:

And Donac, I'd be concerned as well. I wouldn't worry about the challenge, just do what feels comfortable and don't stop moving altogether! :hug:
 
I am having a slow month but I keep on trucking :cool1:

Just finished another 60 minutes bringing me up to 325/1000.
 
I passed my halfway point today a full day ahead of schedule!

I am at 1010/2000 min!

Donac, I hope everything turns out OK for you. I'm sure they will not push you too hard on the stress test. I did one several years ago before I started WISH, or any kind of exercise at all. I was WAY out of shape, but I got thru it with no problem. I'd talk to your DR about what level of exercise would be appropriate for you.

2 hours of aerobics this morning- 1 hour cardio and 1 hour weight training! Total now is 520/1200!
 
60 minutes on cardio circuit and 10 minutes jogging/walking this morning, so

now at 320/900
