January Discounts?

If this is posted somewhere I apologize...I treid the search...but didn't see much.

How common is it to have late January/Early February discounts? We have planned our trip already based on what we can afford with no discounts...

BUT...LOL...I am still curious what our chances are of hitting some sort of promotion that might allow us to do more while there with our savings.

The only things out there for that time right now are AAA or AP Best Rate. SOme people have gotten a mailing with a pin code for AKL and WL for $129 a night, but that's a select few.

I'm waiting too. Check out the Codes and Rates board with the Resorts Board. They usually have the info first.

I have heard a few things about people getting mailings for multiple dates. Who gets these mailings, and how do I sign up??!! I am coming in Feb. and would love to stay at Animal Kingdom Lodge for $129!

You just have to be lucky. I have the Disney Visa, an account with disney.com, I've bought from DisneyDirect. Just by going on a trip to Disney, you might get on the mailing list. There's no rhyme or reason.

mousesavers.com has a list of things you should sign up for to have better luck getting pin codes.

Last year, January discounts came out in mid-October. You can check any prior discounts and the dates that they were released at:

If you have AAA, you can already book discounted rooms and packages for 2006.
