January Crowds

Hi,
We are going in Jan, the 2nd to be exact until the 7th. Do you think lines will be shorter then? I was hoping with Christmas break being over, more people would be going back to school/work and it won't be so crowded. Any experience? Thanks!

1. Shorter than the week before? Yes.
Shorter than "normal?" No.

2. Sorry, but Christmas Break will still be going on for many guests during that time.
Certainly during the first few days of your trip, WDW will still be very busy.

Winter break for my child doesnt end until the 6th. Next year it extend through the first week of January. Our hurricane make up days are scheduled for that week. No hurricane and we are out of school during that time frame. I suspect ours isn't the only coastal school district that does this.

Thank you for the replies and welcome! I didn't think about school being out for most still, ours go back on the 4th so I am pulling them out of school for a few days. Some things are more important sometimes

Christmas crowds will come to an abrupt end within the first couple days but this time frame is leading up to the marathon weekend. Mid-stay should be very manageable, with an uptick in crazy at the start and the end.

Osbourne lights ending on the 3rd is going to have those first 2 days, at least for hollywood studios, a lot more packed in.

We will be there the 2nd-5th. specifically because it is our anniversary and I work with the school so I tried not missing work. With that being said most kids will be out of school until at least the 5th. Your last couple days, the 6th and 7th should be somewhat more pleasant.
