We are going for 2 days January 7 & 8th with our 2 kids (aged 13 & 10) and they have never been before. We are trying to decide whether to stay on site. The main reason we would would be to get the express pass and the extra hour at Harry Potter. Will having the express pass make a big difference that time of year? How much time in line would they save us? What are the crowds like in January? Thanks for your help.

It isnt neccessary to stay onsite, but definitely nice and I am one of the people that will stay onsite no matter what time of year it is.The crowds are not bad at all , but there are large amounts of tour groups starting in early January and the express pass is nice in that regard. You can avoid them really easily.

I just saw someone posted about a Harry Potter event that will make it extremely crowded around the 24th thru the 26th.
