According to the unofficial guide January gets 6-8 for crowd levels. Why? Is there a special event then? Also how do i find out when Star Wars and Soap week are? I checked the Disney site and there isn't a date listed. :goodvibes Thanks.

The Disney Marathon is the first weekend of January. And the crowds pick up over Martin Luther King weekend but other that that January isn't as nearly as crowded as the summer months. I'll be there Jan. 5-13th and can't wait! It's not as hot or crowded. Weather is a lot cooler though.
As for Star Wars weekends, they are usually in May-I think. I'm not sure about Soap weekend but I think it was recently.

There are a couple of 5s in there, for January. There basically aren't ever any 3s, and 4s seem to be limited to December. January is still one of the least crowded months.

For the last several years, Star Wars Weekends have been in May and June. Does anyone know what the 2006 schedule will be?

Last year, we went right after Memorial Day, and there were 3 major events going on at WDW: Epcot Flower and Garden Festival (ending), Star Wars Weekends (especially big, since SW Episode III: Revenge of the Sith had just come out in the theaters), and Gay Days!

:goodvibes Thanks everyone. I want to go when there aren't as many people but oh well. We went once a few years ago in january and it worked very well. But then the book said crowds of 5 and up. What happened to the 2-4 days? Gone forever? Oh well we will make the best of it. :goodvibes
