January Alamo Code - Better than Walmart

I just re-booked my January Alamo rental (1/11 - 1/21) and got 10 days for $148.30 total. The coupon is for a free upgrade to full size plus a 10% discount. With the Walmart coupon/code combo I was at $162. You do lose the extra driver but I didn't need it anyway. The coupon & code below ends 1/31/08.

OhioDisneyDad.... we're from OH also and flying down on the exact same dates 1/11-1/21 we also got a rental from Alamo: Mid-Sized for $125 w/ WalMart Code: 430710 and $20 off coupon AD1336ADK . We need the extra driver and the Mid-Size will be big enough for the 3 of us.

I'm curious do you have your airfare tickets yet? We're flying out of Detroit on SW for $60. I'm still trying to find a deal on our flight back.....I don't think it's going to happen the best rate I can find right now is $120.

We're on Southwest too. We live just out side of Columbus and we got $99 each way - non stop each way. I debated on when to buy since last year we got non-stop on Delta for $129 round trip. The lowest I've seen from Southwest is an $89 Ding but not non-stop. I did notice that if you came back on 1/20 that the non-Southwest fares were cheaper.

I am answering my own question. I just checked the same dates and codes, but from MCO instead of Sanford and it is the great rates you all are getting!!!! UGGGGGG!!!!! Why cant I get that at Sanford????!!!! I am paying the same thing for 2 one day rentals that you guys are getting for 10 days!!!!!!!!!!! Unfair Alamo!!!!!!!!!

I was watching the Columbus rates (love flying out of there) but by the time we made up our mind to go they were well over the $100. My rate out of Detroit was a Ding. I've also noticed you can get some really dirt cheap rates if you fly just a couple of days before of after 1/21......but that just won't work for us.

Well at least we got great rates for our rentals!!!!!

Just used those codes AD3829MRB 430710 and rechecked, and the price went up $88. I have a booking for 10 days for $101 and it comes up as $189 now.

Yes looks like rates are heading back up. I checked National and my rental is much higher now. (I have a full size 10 day for $128--Executive Aisle).

I booked in November using the Wal-Mart code and $25 e-coupon and my total for January 25- Feb 1 is $83.26 for a mid-size! I'm glad I booked it when I did because it is now $156.41 for the same thing. I love hitting the deals at the right time.

My family thinks I am nuts for renting a car and using DME but with 2 small kids, I'll pay $84 to have a car on standby for a week. Plus, since we're staying at OKW, the parking at the resort is so convenient!

I just made a reservation last Sunday for a quick trip next week 1/13-1/19
And as much as I dislike alamo, I checked their prices using the walmart code and the $25 coupon. I got a compact for $59 total for the week. I can't pass up that price, they're almost giving them away. I will be using the kiosk though, going to the counter is just asking for grief.

I originally had a reservation for 1/19-1/25 for a standard size suv using the walmart code and AD6459BG for $178. When I rechecked, it dropped all the way down to $71.47!!!!!! I cant believe it. Thats better than I even hope to get on a priceline bid.

I used the $15.00 off coupon code on that same page and got my rental for 1/24-28/08 down to $60.11 !!! That's going to save me $26 from the previous low-low rate!

The coupon codes are only good for a certain amount of ressies at each location, then they dont work. You have to keep trying, as people cancel, you might get an opening for that coupon. Hope that helps.

I'm going 2/2-2/9 with a full sized car and I still found it cheaper to use the $25 off coupon (AD1901NJK) than the upgrade coupon.

I got the same price as the OP's deal using my Costco codes and we still get to keep the free addl driver.
