January 8, 2006- 4 night Wonder- Anybody else coming with?

On my calendar I have 75 days as of midnight tonight aka tomorrow. I hope that is right because I'd hate to set the alarm for 3am and be wrong.

maybe that's the problem, darnit I have to be at work at 7am tomorrow too!!
what do yuo think fills up the fastest?

the alarm is set!

And I broke down and bought the Unofficial Guide to DW 2006 today. Though I feel fully justified since my last one was 2003.

I tried to get the DL one, but the Barnes and Noble here did not have any DL books - tons of DW. I guess its geography.

Gaaawd, do I really have to stay up four more hours? :faint:

Figures, up late with no problem all week, tonight I'm sleepy. Guess it caught up to me ;)

Guess I'd better break out the caffeine!

Woo-hoo! Got everything I wanted (ok, and then some I'm still not sure of, but that's what the cancellation policy is for, right? ;) )

Seemed like there were lots of openings. Thank goodness for cruising on an off period!

Hope everyone got just what they were looking for...and can get plenty of sleep now) Of course NOW I'm wired... :earseek:

:cool1: Got my reservations at Palo, registered the kids, now back to bed. Hopefully I will be able to go to sleep and not keep thinking about the cruise. Good night everyone!! I hope you were able to get your ressies too!

:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Good Morning everyone. It sounds like everyone is getting their reservations without any problems. Yeah!!!!!!!! I'm glad !! :cool1:
We got everything we wanted. Palo's brunch, City Tour, and DH is going to do the Stingray Adventure. (That will be my time to shop)

Now, finally off to bed.

Yeaaaaa! :Pinkbounc :cheer2:
I am very glad to hear that y'all were able to get the ressies that you wanted.
branv, I agree about cruising in the "off season". I hope that the weather is nice for us. I am really excited...I can't believe we only have 74 more days to go!!

:sad2: You crazy, crazy people :sad2:

I'm glad that you got everything you wanted :teeth:

:ssst: I feel like I am back in college and pulled an all-nighter. Unfortunately, I am not so I don't have any classes to skip while I try and get some sleep.

After making my ressies, I blissfully fell back into my warm bed, and promptly fell asleep (much to my surprise). When all of a sudden, the baby began screaming. I checked on him, calmed him down and left crawling back into my own bed. He continued to scream. Finally at 4:30, I woke DH (who did sleep on the couch since I set the alarm for 3am). He tried to calm baby to no avail. Then DH left for work at 4:50. I gave DS a bottle at 5:15 hoping that would make him sleepy. No such luck. I gave up trying to get any sleep for either of us at 6. DD came walking in at 6:30 wide awake. UGH!!!!! Now I am grumpy, and I have 2 out of 3 grumpy kids. DD's went to school. DS and I came home for a nap - he wants nothing to do with it. He keeps screaming. Can I scream too?!?! We need a nap! :guilty:

Of course, DH makes it all better by trying to say I woke DS when making the ressies, and I quote, "but you couldn't wait til morning. You just had to get up in the middle of the night..." When he's enjoying his Palo brunch I will gladly remind him of his transgressions.

Attagirlx2 don't scream.....you've got your reservations. :cool1: It sounds like it's going to be a long day for you. :hourglass I hope the baby calms down and all the naps get taken. Hang in there and day dream about the cruise.

any chance if you couldn't get brunch reservations now of getting them once we board the ship?

Oy, Attagirl! Your day (night) reminds me of those old Calgon commercials!! I hope you make up the sleep tonight!

And Cruisin' dear, I resent the implication that I am crazy. I have a certificate from my psychiatrist that certifies that I am absolutely cured! He said that these pink rabbits I see are just a residual side effect of the medication, and I shouldn't worry.

TX girl (go Astros!) I know I read that they withhold blocks of reservations for people who book onboard, so I bet it will be easy as pie for you guys to get in to brunch! Guess we know where you'll be going as soon as you board ;)

So on a whim I booked a massage for DH on Castaway Cay. Thought I would surprise him as an anniversary gift. Frankly, I was very put off by the price. I mean, I can get a massage in a great place for $80, but b/c you're in a Cabana in the Bahamas it's $140. Today I just remembered I'd have to tip $28 on top of that! I hate to sound cheap, but I am contemplating cancelling it. I also know DH would see the cost and be like, "WHAT?!" Soooo...I know DH has really really been wanting to finally try Dom Perignon (he's an absolute vino nut, but he's just now starting to look into champagne). I think I might buy a bottle of that for him instead and sneak it in my carry-on for us to crack open on deck one night. Who knows, I am SO bad about keeping secrets though ;)

What do you guys think?

banv...That is a great idea about surprising DH with the Dom Perignon. You could celebrate with that and then when the bottle is empty....mention the cost of the message. He might not care at that point. :rotfl:

Only 72 more days, y'all! :earboy2:
I can't wait to find out our room assignment...so excited! :teeth:

branv-Have you read any of the posts about the massages? I had planned from the day I put my deposit down on the cruise to do the couples cabana massage on CC. But then I read some posts about the cost and quality. After that I decided for the money DH and I could do the couples massages here about 3 times and have really, really good massages. Now, I do realize it won't be on the beach, and that would be something different and pretty cool to do. Then I also have to be realistic and think that we probably won't do a couples massage here either because we will not make it a priority. But I guess in this case, the penny pincher side of my personality won. And believe me, it doesn't win often - just ask DH. I am the type of person that if I have a nickle in my pocket, I need to figure out how to spend it. So maybe the solution is to make our massage appointments before we go on vacation and have them right when we get back. That would make the shock of coming home a little easier if we have some pampering to look forward to.

72 days until the cruise :cool1:

68 days until DW :cheer2:

Can't wait!!!! :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc

By the way, I've started reading the Unoffical Guide - so far nothing new that isn't widely known. But I haven't gotten to the theme park sections yet.
