January 7th 2009 DIS meet*u/d post #1 with meeting time and place*

We've only been on it once - DS said it was the most boring ride in the world and he was never gonna get back the 45 minutes he'd spent on it!! Teenagers!! No sense of adventure. ;)
The Carousel is also a good ride where you can get loads of people on - especially good if you've little ones with you!

I must remember to look for some thermals and thick socks for the January trip!!:rotfl:

Aha, we could take over an IASW boat. We all seem slightly loopy here, so it's not as if the music would drive us mad either...

Hmm, maybe DB could come after all; I'm sure DLRP would let us have DB and 10+ carers. On second thoughts, maybe that's a few too many :rotfl:

Note: I don't actually condone attempting to abuse the disabled pass like that; in fact it's quite irritating when people do try that (and it has happened - 1 disabled child with about 10 carers all trying to get onto POTC!)

I think as many as they can cram on!!:rotfl: :rotfl:

They know once you've been on you'll never go on again!!:lmao:

How about going to watch Stitch Live!?

Oh no, not that :) I'm rather erm... shy with big crowds and the last thing I fancy is being chosen to talk to Stitch. I've done the show once and I'm already going to have to do it once at some unknown time with DB and once is most definitely enough :goodvibes DIS size crowds no problem, so if we could secure our own private time with Stitch, then fantastic :rotfl:

How about ...............................................

THE TOWER OF TERROR

It would make a great photo with our LGMH's on and joined by Flik and Fern

Well i cant go on ToT with Kyra as she may not be tall enough to ride it.

I wish I wasn't tall enough :scared1: :scared1:

I just threw that suggestion in so everyone could reply using lots and lots of these     and these:scared: :scared: :scared:and these
:scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

Not sure my meek and mild youngest would go on this either although I do know for sure I will be dragged on here by the adrenaline junkie oldest.

:lmao: :lmao: I have an imagine of you all squeezing into a IASW boat - I want to see a pic of that loool

Sorry, but I would have to reply with lots of things like :lovestruc , or :thumbsup2. I happen to come under the adrenaline junkie header in a BIG way, so TOT is one of my favourite rides at DLRP :goodvibes

Still booo that I cannot come and still totally in the dark about a lime green mickey head. ????? Wot?

(ps I love ToT too....)

The better option might be to meet after park hours because it allows us to sit down in a hotel bar somewhere (e.g. sequoia because of the warm fire), although that may not be so suitable depending on what time we wanted to meet and what time people needed to get children off to bed.

I think a lot of where / when depends on park opening hours and meal times etc which we don't yet have.

If the parks close at about 6/7pm I reckon this could be a good idea, take over one of the hotel bars. They wouldn't know what hit them :rotfl:

Or what about a character lunch somewhere?

I would be up for a character lunch. We'd need to hire the whole resturant out lol!

From what I understand, it's exactly what it sounds like - a Mickey head object (tag, picture etc), which is Lime Green (the official colour of the DIS for some reason) in colour.

As for a character lunch, that seems quite an expensive idea, plus I think I ought to be have lunch with my family and ;) Unfortunately as I mentioned before, DB gets very bored so I wouldn't be able to enjoy it properly if he came too :sad2:

Same here - we're taking my parents for their first DLP trip so I wouldn't really want to bring them along, as we've already planned what character meals etc we want to do. I'm up for a quick meet at an attraction and group photo?

Meet, chat, ride and a group photo is pretty much what I would expect from a meet. Did a few in Florida and that is usually the drill.
