WOW!! That is amazing, although you are traveling quite a distance, so it makes sense.

My kids have never been to Universal, but we are stopping there in Singapore this summer. If they like it, I'll have to start taking them there as well. I was trying to decide if I should take Nico to the park beforehand. I have an Annual Pass that will still good, so maybe it would be fun to go before heading off to the cruise.

It used to be WDW was much cheaper than the cruise. However, now with the amount of food Nico requires, I think the cruise is less expensive::yes::

Thanks for the warm welcome, everyone! :)

We have heard all sorts of rumors about the upcoming rehab to The Magic. It will be fun to see the changes and to also enjoy all the new linens, towels, etc.!

Hands down, our favorite park is the Magic Kingdom, but the international section of EPCOT is always on our must do list, too. We want to like Hollywood Studios, but to be honest, we end up getting bored too quickly there. The Brown Derby is an awesome splurge restaurant though and the Osborne Family light show is not to be missed.

As for my 18 year DD, I agree I am pretty lucky that she still thinks it okay to hang out with her Mom. Of course, who in their right minds would turn down a trip to Disney World and a B2B Disney cruise? ;)

Nico just got back from courses in Epcot. When kids take classes through Disney. He went behind the scenes and toured all of the Nemo and Friends Aquarium where he saw Manatees and Dolphins. He saw the diets and how the animals are kept and fed. The technology behind the water filtration system and where they quarantine the fish when they are sick or have behavioral problems. To wrap up the class, he was given x-rays and symptoms of a dolphin and he had to diagnose it. He also took a class in photography (again in Epcot) and loved that as well. He really wants to take a class in Evolution of Technology, but so far, we haven't been able to schedule that into our vacations. Between the classes, Illuminations, and Le Cellier Epcot wins hands down for him.

I love the classes because that means I get extra trips to Disney and it gives me a completely different perspective of the parks. But really, I get more Disney vacations. ;)

I don't know what half those rides are :confused3 We are headed to both Hong Kong and Tokyo Disney, but that is after Singapore. I am hoping they have a good time at Universal, but we will have just arrived the morning before in Asia. Not sure how adjusted they will be at that point.

I am glad to know it is your favorite park. I'll have to let them try it in Florida if they like it. It would probably be easier to introduce them to it one at a time. Which means I get more trips:cool1:

Your post was just what I needed to see this morning. It has been a long week at work, and it's only Thursday! Now I am Disney cruise day dreaming!!:banana::banana:

Disney cruise dreaming is the best way to deal with a long work week :surfweb:

I have a few sickies here at home with me.:sick: So while I don't get paid, my work is doubled right now.

Hello, this is my 5th cruise, been on all 4 ships, back to the Magic again.:hourglass

We're the Wilson's and it will be myself Eric, my wife Tammy, DD Megan age 10 at time of cruise, DD Lisa age 8 and DD Anna age 2, joining you on this great vacation! I just created a Facebook page for our group too, it's listed below.
This will be our 7th DCL trip and our third trip on the Magic. We did Magic on a 7 day Eastern for our honeymoon in August of 2001, back on in February of 2012 for a Western trip, and now this intinerary. We just got off the Fantasy two weeks ago and it will be nice to get back on the smaller more homey ship. I look forward to chatting with everyone and learning what types of cool stuff to put in your Fish Extenders!
