Things are not looking good -- this morning when I picked up my mom to go visit my dad, she had an angina attack, and has been admitted to the hospital with pulmonary edema related to her congestive heart failure. A DIFFERENT hospital than my dad (25 minutes between them-- I've been driving all day)

Dad has no change.

So I am leaning to canceling the trip. Incredibly bummed. My DH wants me to wait to make any decision until we can talk more. I have other family locally (but not siblings) and can hire a private duty nurse.

My mother still desperately wants me to go. When I told her I planned to cancel, she started crying (she never does this) saying that she would just feel so awful if we do. My dad feels the same. So I get guilt either way I decide. I have the travel agent checking on other dates just in case.

I'll let you know if I don't go. If you don't see a fish extender on 6534 you'll know I didn't make it.

Well I hope this mornings snow storm will be it until after we fly out Sunday morning. It was really terrible this morning for my drive into work. 32 on the interstate that normally on a slow day runs about 70!

Oh good luck!!! We fly out tomorrow and we're driving out to Denver tonight for a park-and-fly hotel. Spending all day today packing - yes I'm not done yet!!!

Good luck with the packing. We always over pack so this time I am actually writing down our itinerary and listing the clothing we will need. I really resent having to pay 30.00 rt for a bag to be checked, with three adults we need two! My brand new carry on is too big for Continental.

Thanks all for your prayers and pixie dust! We have decided to GO!! My mom REALLY wanted us to. I will hire a private nurse to be with them until I get back. The dr. hoped to have my mom out by tomorrow latest and we're still waiting to see with Dad, but he had some improvement.

We leave Friday early AM and do 2 nights at the Poly, so at least I can be in easy contact during that time.

We tell Andrew (5) this AM!

Oh and I have done NO packing and I have not made my FE yet (but I have what I need)

I finally finished my packing this morning!! It's really great to finish just two hours before you leave...

What a great cruise! Thanks for all the great goodies in the fish extender! Andrew was just SO excited each day.

How about the weather on Castaway? I thought it was perfect! We will definetly do this again!

It sure was. I think snorkeling will be my best memory, it was so beautiful! I even enjoyed watching that storm roll in on our day at sea.

We just got back yesterday, and yes that was an awesome cruise.

Just a small glitch with the FEs as I'm not sure whether 2081 switched rooms? We switched rooms (paid for an upgrade at check-in) so our paths may have crossed. I stopped by 2081 twice on Sunday but didn't see an FE so I wasn't able to deliver. Funny thing about the upgrade was that we ended up right next to another FE participant.
