I've never done this before but would be more than willing to help organize.

Will everyone PM me their info (email address, number of people in party, names, kids' ages, cabin #)? Then I can email everyone with other people's info. Do we want to assign dates? I assume 1 day per person?

I just have a quick question - we have a gty room and were told that our assigned cabin was subject to change. I assume I may not be the only one whose cabin number is subject to change -- how do we typically relay change of information to each other after check-in?

I'm new to this also, but people hang these organizer looking things on the fish outside their cabin door, and then others drop off "surprises" for them. I think we take turns and are each assigned a day so that we can get surprises spread out on different days.

Not to step in as the FE ::cop: (cop) or anything but we need to do all we can to help "javaj" make this happen. I know that we all are going to be very busy with the Holidays rapidly approaching. If we all don't know exactly who is participating and how much of what to buy for who (age/gender specific) relatively soon, then I can imagine that I am going to feel right before a big trip (land/sea). Lets do this and make it rock for the kiddies

If anyone out there finds a good way to make or buy a Fish Extender, without having to depend on anyone to mail it to you during the holidays, please put it here. I am worried that my lack of creativity and un-craftliness (I just made that up... you know, not good at crafts) will bite me with such little time to prepare. Thanks all.

I'm thinking I will give it through the end of this week before finalizing our list -- anyone have an issue with that? That should still give us over a week to shop before the cruise.

I'm so excited for all of you guys participating in the FE's. We've never done it before... to be truthful, I'm not sure how it works!

Thanks for the welcome! I am starting to get excited now...this cruise sprang up on us rather quickly and I am still trying to get over the guilt of leaving our kids at home this time but I know we deserve it!

As for the FEs, I am excited to do something new. Our last Disney Cruise was in December 2006 and I didn't hear much about it then!

For those looking for an FE, I found a link in another post to a card holder on Disneyshopping.com but I can't post the link here. Don't know if it would ship in time but it was only $9.97

Also, found a person on Ebay....searched for Fish Extender who will custom make one and said she would be able to get it to me by January 1st.

I would normally have attempted this myself but with the holidays I know I would never get it together in time!

I feel your pain with the guilt... DH & I did a 7 nite back in April and we had a business trip last month, both times without the kids. They are 14 & 16, I still feel like I'm leaving my little babies home!

This is my first Disney Cruise and I will be sailing with my 5 yr old daughter. I know there are plenty of activities for my daughter, but are there activities for the single parents?
If there are any single mothers, out there that will be interested in meeting...I’m always interested in meeting new people.

From what I've seen, you don't have to go fancy -- At JoAnn they have plain canvas bags. I'd think you could literally glue them together, staggered (cutting the handles of the bottom ones off) and it would be great! Get some fabric markers and you can go to town decorating! Or they have iron-on transfers too.

I plan to use the bags, but I'm doing some sewing too, because I like to.

I have been pulled back from the ledge by one of the great Dis'ers! She is going to have a FE made and sent to AKL so my girls can have the type we wanted in time. Christmas spirit (and a little bit of pixie dust) truly brings out the best in people!
