MJ, thanks again for doing all those nametags.

Michelle and I have decided to go ahead with the wine package. 7 bottles of wine in 7 days, with only 2 out of 3 of us being drinkers. Hmm, I foresee a new challenge!

Anyone else doing the DCL-sponsored noon stingray excursion in Grand Cayman? Or the Jeep off-roading adventure in Cozumel?

I am seriously thinking about the Jeep excursion in Cozumel, but have not made ressies...was going to decide onboard...hope all is not sold out. My son and his friend want to do this and I have always wanted too as well. Hubby and the girls will head for the beach that day.

MJ--there are only 3 of us in our Jeep, and they seat 4, so even if you can't get anybody else to go, I hope you still sign up--you can sit with us in that an extra seat if you want it! (My husband, the ex-Marine, is the designated driver so far--they said we can take turns, but I'm like, Hmm, I think we'll just wait and see...) Hey, it's Mayan Ruins! Plus a yummy lunch on the beach. What's not to love!

I know the jeep tour sounds awesome and no one else wants to go and they can do without me for a few hours, I would love to join you!!!!

My dad was/is a Marine from the Korean war......he just finished his 25th consecutive Marine Corps Marathon this past October....we all went down to cheer him on!!!! There is only about 4 or 5 others who have ever done this....he has a jacket with all the patches on it and it is awesome!!! We are very proud of him. I actually tried getting him and my mom to cruise with us but they just came off a two week Panama Canal cruise in November. He looks so handsome all dressed in his red Marine dress jacket!!!

Does your hubby run/volunteer at the Marathon??? Maybe we crossed paths and didn't even know it!!!!

time is getting short now. When is everybody heading out??? We fly out Friday morning, and should arrive at the radisson by three p.m.

from Philadelphia. We should be at MCO by 10:30. Then on the DCL bus to the port. Trying to pack with the new airline regulations in mind. Has thrown my entire system off balance. I normally can pack with my eyes closed and now I have had to rethink everything!

We're flying out of O'Hare after work on Fri. so we'll get into MCO pretty late. We got the Marriott on Priceline, so hopefully their shuttle will be prompt and we can be all rested up for the week ahead. We scheduled an early pickup with Happy so we can get to the port ASAP. We're flying American for the first time in ages...I think I will miss ATA and Midway. Midway is so much easier to deal with than O'Hare!
For our shore excursions, we are horseback riding in both Grand Cayman and Cozumel, and we're just going to explore on our own in Key West.

Somebody please tell me there is good news in all of this. I CANNOT find ds birth certificate!! I've looked and looked and then looked again. We just moved here is August and I used it to register him for school. I keep all the important docs together, but I must not have put his back! Will dcl still let us go?? oh no. I am so panicked. I don't know what to do. Has anyone ever had any experience with this type of situation? We leave on Thursday and and due to the Holiday, most government offices are closed the 31st and 1st. Even if they were open, it's in another state so there is no way I'd be able to get it on time. I do have a Baptismal Certificate with a raised seal, and his social security card. Will these work?? If ANYONE has any info please please post. I will check back later.

We fly out Friday morning and arrive at MCO at 12:20. We might go to Downtown Disney before heading to the Radisson but we should be at the Radisson by 8:00 for the meet at the pool.

Lynda did you try calling DCL about the birth certificate to see what they say? Good luck, sending pixie dust!!!!!

Yes I just called DCL. Basically, I'm at the mercy of the people at the port. She said just to take everything I can that proves he is my son, and an american citizen. But the final decision is there's. I am beside my self. I feel sick. I am about to look through the whole house yet again.

hi, this is disney quest. we will be on the January 4, 2003 magic sailing. we have a 4 year old and a 8 year old both girls. we were just on the magic in february 18, 2002. It was such a great time that we decided to do it again, and try the western caribean.does anyone know if this cruise is sold out?

is there anyway you can get to the copy that the school has. I realize the real thing is what you "need" but if you at least had a copy of it ???

I will attempt to contact the school tomorrow. Being winter break, I don't know that anyone will be there. I will definately be prayer consistantly until we're actually aboard the Magic. Our entire household is in a frenzy looking through every possible nook and cranny.

My husband found the birth certificate!! Of all places it was in with the pool equipment stuff!! I don't know how it got in there, but I am sooooo thankful that he looked in there and found it. I was able to breath and the first thing I did was cry! I was that worried. I am usually very organized with these kinds of things. Well anyway, thank you for the pixie dust and prayers.

disney quest....welcome to our group!!! We also sailed last Feb on the Magic....on the 23rd....we were boarding the day you got off the ship!!! Small world, yet again!!!

I do not believe the cruise is sold out at all....I was able to check just today at the DCL site (pretending to book a new ressie) and all categories were available (they don't show the Cat 1, 2, or 3's). Cat's 4 - 12 were listed as available for a party of two.

Cheryl, only I can't find mine and my DH! But, I am sure they are here somewhere. We cruised in Nov so they can't be too far. When I am more awake I'll be able to find them....lol

Disney Quest - welcome, welcome.welcome. Our little"extended family" joyfully grows.
Thanks to the kind folks bringing along extra bubbles (could not find the small bottles at Target last night) and MJ for all of the work that you are putting into name tags.
I was able to get Friday entirely off, so we are leaving Clearwater at 8:30 am to play at MGM and Magic Kingdom for a few hours before heading over to the Radisson around 5:00.
I would love to do the Jeep tour, but the thought of driving on my vacation isn't very appealing. When I park my car on Friday, I do not want to grip a steering wheel again until the following Saturday. We're still up in the air about excursions. We will definitely take the trolley through Key West, thinking of a beach day in Grand Cayman and some sought of Tulum Ruins tour in Cozumel.
Have a safe and festive New Year's Eve. We'll break out "When Harry Met Sally" and hope to see midnight.
