BNBMOM, If they can handle all the noise they are welcome to hang out. It really is true that after 3 kids its all the same, only the expense changes. We had to get 2 cabins (ouch!).

Also, My wife want's to know wheather she should pack my 3 yr old's Speedo swim vest. It is kinda bulky. Do they have any life jackets for the kids at the pools on board?

Also, what dining rotation do you think my crew will get? I now we are early seating. My wife is planning our nights. She is finally getting excited. My Kids and I have been excited about this for a year.

Thanks for taking the time to compile the list! We are quite a crew aren't we?

Tink33,
You did such a nice job on the list, sorry to be the one to mess it up. I'm edith76 and my husband is szulu. I posted one day under his ID.

We are Edee, Bruce(DH) and Joe(DS)age 20. From North Jersey.

I can't believe how long this thread got.

we will have to meet up in the Walt Disney Theatre! I can't wait to meet you guy's. I was wondering if people wear their Guest of Honor Badges on the cruise? It might make it alittle easier for us to spot each other.

This is a GREAT list, and how fun to think about having so many friends before we even begin!! (By the way, two weeks from today at this precise time, our little group intends to be boarding the very first Cruise Bus at the airport!!)

HURRAH!

:Pinkbounc Rebekah

care to save us a place in line.......lol we won't even be getting on the plane till 8 :( I am seriously considering skipping our grocery stop just to get there earlier!

AAAAAAGGGGGGGHHHHHHHH!!!

AAAAAAGGGGGGGGHHHHHHH!!!!

Okay, I just had to let off a little virtual steam. I'm so filled with excitement/anticipation/anxiety about finishing up the Christmas stuff etc. etc., that I feel like I'm going to burst!

Tink33 - Thanks for that great list. I just read it and realized that for some reason I didn't mention names for my DH and DS. DH is Brian and DS (aged 9) is Trevor. I'm CindyAnn or Cindy and DD is Mallory (aged 6).

MJ - It's great of you to volunteer to make name tags.

Ribbon - I bought 3 metres of neon lime green ribbon yesterday and I'll just cut it up and attach it to everything.

Bubbles - I just added them to my list, and FYI my packing list is now 10 pages long. There are lots of spaces and stuff, but for some reason I feel like we can pack everything because we're going by car for the first time. Everything includes DH's giant honking telescope, which will probably arouse great suspicion during the baggage check.

Shoe Bag - I got one at Wal-Mart ($7.99 Canadian, so probably around $4.99 US) that holds 20 shoes. We already have one and in case anyone is looking for a use for it after the cruise, ours hangs on the outside of DD's closet door and makes a wonderful Barbie condo. It also works well for Beanie Babies.

AAAAAAAGGGGGGGHHHHHHH!

DH just went foraging for breakfast and he's bringing back my favourite "chocolate lovers' vanilla fudge brownie latte". I'm going decaf all the way on this one, since I think caffeine will have me swinging from the chandelier!

Hope to see you all on board!

Cindy - May I just add my AAAAAGGHHHH...to yours! NOTHING is done, my house & barn are a mess, and my Christmas shopping isn't done. Oh well, it will all just happen.
We are..
Me - Virginia
dd - Ashley 7
Nanna
We have no idea what cabin we are in, as we are doing pier check in...
So it is Promenade lounge after fire drill? Can someone confirm, as I don't know how often I will log in while at wdw.
Does anyone know how much the unlimited internet is on board? There is a possibility that I will have to work a bit, and I think unlimited is the way to go...do they let you bring a floppy and transfer stuff? Dave from Marietta should know this...
Cindy- going to Walmart today for shoe bag, that's better than the winners price!!

YES, we are definitely meeting at the Promenade Lounge right after the safety drill.

Unlimited internet for the 7-day is $90. Frankly, they couldn't PAY me $90 to use the internet--isn't the point to get AWAY from it?!? ha!

Cindy, I am very impressed at all the lime green ribbon you were able to find. And kudos on the bubbles, too--last time we sailed, we were so depressed that they didn't give us confetti or bubbles or anything for when we pulled out. So we just blew kisses which, while fun, didn't achieve quite the effect we wanted.

I'm writing from WORK, is that not INSANE... thank God that my boss won't be able to call me up while I'm at sea! (And let's hope nobody tells him they have satellite connections and he COULD be connected to my cabin.) Cindy, don't suppose your DH could grab an extra vanilla fudge brownie latte while he's out--good heavens, I'm melting just at the description of it!!! Where on earth do you find such a thing??

:earseek: -Rebekah

WOW I haven't had a chance to get to the boards in the last 2 days (EXTREMELY busy at work, I had to work extra this week of all weeks and DD and I had to finish the gifts we made for all of her teachers at school) and I can't believe all the excitement I've been missing! It looks like even more DISers are joining on to this cruise Yipee!

A very good friend of mine called yesterday and she and her family might be joining us too! They have a cabin on hold taking advantage of the great special they had on category 11 and they have plane tickets on hold also. She loves to plan things ahead of time like I do and she's not sure less than two weeks is enough time too throw everyting together, but first she has to convince her DH.

Tink33 what a great list! Thanks for taking the time and making it!

MJ Thanks for volunteering to make name tags.

I have lime green ribbon tied to our backpack and all of our suitcases from our past trips to WDW, we have found it makes it so much easier to pick out our suitcases at baggage claim, no one else has lime green ribbon LOL. I have to find where the extra went because we have a few new suitcases and I'll bring it with in case anyone needs any!
The three of us have matching T shirts for when we get on the ship. We got them for the 4th of July at the Disney Store and they have the flag and Mickey Mouse is saluting. So for those we don't meet at the Radisson just look for the family at the terminal with matching shirts and green ribbons on their carry ons LOL.

Two weeks from now we'll be getting ready to leve the Radisson and get the shuttle to the Port!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Everybody,

So, are we wearing lime green ribbon? I'm not sure I'm clear on everything. Lime green ribbon, promenade after life boat drill, lunch at lumieres? Oh, and dancing some night?

Lynda

We will probably stick to the Guest of Honor badges since I have no lime green ribbon and I am finished shopping:bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc no more Wally world for me :)

:bounce: We will be on this cruise also!!! Myself (40) DH (33) and our dd (8). This is our 4th Disney cruise and we can't wait. Anyother 8 yo girls out there??? My Nicole is looking for another little 8 year old to get to know before cruise time!!! Looking forward to meeting you all!!

well, crazy for mic I've got a two daughters that are close! Krissy is 7 and will be 8 in Jan and a Bre is 9 and will be 10 in Feb. I would love for them to "know" someone onboard but we aren't telling them until Christmas. Does Nicole enjoy the club? I am not so sure my girls will.

Does anyone have a Brownie (Girl Scout) daughter? I am sure Krissy will want to perform at the talent show and it would be great if she had someone to sing with.

Hi crazy for mic and Kajunswty My DD Rachel is 8 and is very much looking forward to making some friends on the cruise. She is also a Brownie. When is the talent show? Is it just for kids? I didn't realize there was a talent show at all. This might be something that interests Rachel!

The cruise is really getting close now!!!! We just spent the last hour going through Rachel's closet picking out the clothes she'll be taking instead of wrapping her cousins' and aunts' and uncles' Christmas presents like we were supposed to be doing. Oh well I can always do that at midnight right LOL.

See everyone soon!

Cheryl:earsgirl: :earsboy: :earsgirl:

but all I know about the talent show is that it is the evening of Castaway Cay. and correct me if I am wrong but the kids get a t-shirt for participating. last time I packed her vest and she just put it over her play clothes. on CCL she only got a certificate but she was tickled pink to be on stage. it was funny because the Camp Carnival lady tried to hand her the microphone and Krissy whispered to her ~ she stood there and held it for Krissy since the song she was going to sing was "I've got something in my pocket" and it requires two hands! It would be a hoot if we could get a couple of our daughters to perform together!:bounce: :Pinkbounc

Oh I'm really in the cruising mood now!!!

Finally I got a day off work today so i've been busy sorting out clothes and i'm determined not to take more than I need, but it seems to me that I've got to pack for it being hot as well as cold, how do you all think the weather will be?

Talent show...
There is an family and an adult talent show on Castaway Cay night (last night of the cruise). You can usually sign up on the Monday of the cruise at the shore excusion desk. You then have to attend a rehersal at around 2pm on the Thursday (This can be a bit upsetting if you want to see the Matinee of Disney Dreams). I know all this as I performed in the adult talent show on my last cruise and it was great fun :teeth: , we didn't get anything for performing in the adult show but I think that everyone that performed in the family show got a medal.

:) Hi Kajunswty and Cheryl - Nicole likes the clubs okay. Some days she like it better then others. We bring a highlighter and at the beginning of the cruise, we go through the daily activity sheets (they used to have it all on one piece of paper) and highlight what she wanted to do on each day. She always had a better time though, when she makes friends!! Nicole is also a brownie, but I think that she is too afraid to get up in front of a whole crowd of people. But, who knows!!! We will have to make plans for the girls to email - once Christmas is over and the cats out of the bag- and let the girls get to know each other. Nicole just turned 8 in November and is in the second grade. She is a little shy, makes friends pretty easily. Talk to you soon.

Regards,
Marybeth

By the way, Lynda! Yes, you've got it right. Though not all of us may find lime green ribbon, in which case our lovely nametags will help, which Mary Jane is making, bless her heart!

So close... and yet so far....

:) Rebekah
