January 31, 2010 - Wonder 4 Day! Join the Fun!

I'm not finding any place to reserve for shows on the boat. Is that something I have to do? or can we just show up. And if it is something we have to reserve for, can anyone tell me how to navigate the website for it? The website is not very much fun to move around in!

No need to make reservations for shows. You just show up.
As for the big stage shows, they are usually shown twice per night, once per dinner seating (when you are eating there is a show for the people in the other dining seating and you go to the show while they are eating).

I agree the disney web site is slow and lacks some information.
That is why the boards and wdwinfo.com are so great.

Hope that helps!

My name is morgan and im 13 im going on a cruise january 31!!!! it will be my second cruise me and my bff r going wit my parents...... if u r a teen or a adult that has teens msg me cause id love to have friends before my cruise!!!!!

Thanks for the info. This excursion was listed on the disneycruise website when we were looking at different things to do. Still up in the air about it anyway. So many decisions to make!! This is fun!

I have also booked my DH and DS (9) on this excursion. The earlier session was full and so they got a 12 noon time. My guess was that because it is on the Disney excursion list that they are aware of the time factor. It sounds like a lot of fun.

Glad to hear some others are going on this excursion. That's awsome! We are also looking at the noon session. Hope to meet you there! Thanks!

Thanks for the info. That helped alot. So much to do and yet so much to learn!

Okay, I'm wondering if there is a catch on the drinks situation. I don't plan on drinking any alcohol, so that's not my worry. With all the info. I have read, it seems like there may be a catch to even soft drinks or water? Possibly included with meals but not so much if you just need water? Can anyone clarify that for me? It seems kind of like a gray area.
I hope I am not asking the most stupid questions on here! or worse yet, the wrong questions? LOL

hello fellow cruisers! just booked tonight for myself and son(8). we are so excited! are we doing a meet and greet? is there an official FE contact? see y'all in 2 weeks

This is my first DCL cruise so I have nothing to compare it to, but our thread has seemed to be kinda quiet, and there is no scheduled meet-n-greet and I don't believe there was ever enough interest expressed in the FE?

As far as the water available, everything I have read has seemed to indicate that the water on board is better than any bottled water you could bring with you, and that it is in fact available (for free) at any time. I have read several suggestions about taking empty water bottles and filling/refilling them up at the drink station instead of lugging water onboard.

HTH......

Pardon me but I'm alittle obsessed with the weather. I want to be warm.

We've hit another milestone. We are within the range where we can get an actual forecast for the Bahamas:
http://www.accuweather.com/world-fo...uweather&locCode=CAC|BS|BF016|NASSAU&metric=0

The forcast for the Nassau day is "Humid with abundant sunshine with a high of 87" :cool1:

I know, I know threre is plenty of time for it to change. I spent part of the day yesterday burying my kids in the snow, I so look forward to the possibility of burying them in the sand. Off to go sledding today.... <brrrr>

I can't believe how close it is getting. Going to start packing today! Well, just the pirate costumes.

I talked to a ressie person yesterday and he said the ship is almost full. I needed to switch to a HA room since we need to bring an ECV for my dh - just had an unexpected knee surgery! And there were none available.

I would love to do the FE but w/ all the dr. appts and therapy for my dh in the next two weeks, I don't think I would get to it.

Can't wait to start watching the weather!

I, too, have been anxiously waiting for the day we could get an actual forecast for when we are gonna be there! I know it could change, but I'm encouraged to see so many days in the 70's. I started last week with my packing and pretty much finished over the weekend! Whoo-hoo! I can always throw in an extra outfit or two for everybody if it looks like we are gonna get some cooler weather, but I am sooooo hoping I won't feel the need to do that!!

We are almost to single-digit countdown days!!!

If you are booking through Disney no need to worry about the time. If your excursion is late getting back they will not leave you. The only time you have to worry is if you are on your own.

totally free at the drink station and at meals. I usually buy a water package to have water to carry off in ports. Or you can bring your own water or soda onboard to have in the cabin.

Don't worry about the ECV. I have used these onboard before. When you are through for the night just drop him off at the room and take it to the nearest elevator lobby and plug it in for the night.

Hey lbuher. I am hoping we can schedule a meet and greet thing on the ship. It would be nice to meet some other DISers in person. Would you all like to do something on the first day?

As for the fish extenders, I don't have time to make one, but I hear they are cool.

I'm excited for the Bahamas weather forecast so far. Hopefully that and Castaway Cay have beautiful weather. :)

Let's hope this forecast stays the same!! Looks awesome.
Starting packing yesterday!! Can't wait. :dance3:

i already have a fish extender from my last cruise and i would love to do the exchange on a small scale. if anyone is interested pm me and i will put a list together. we can meet at the terminal or on the ship to update room #'s. i won't have mine until i check in. i can't believe i booked this yesterday! i am so excited!

My obsession with the weather is killing me. I really thought we were all pretty much packed and ready to go, and then a couple of days ago, the forecast for the 31st for Cape Caneveral changed drastically, and now I'm worried! I'm afraid I may have to rethink/repack for the first couple of days, which I know is not the end of the world, but it sure does make packing harder when you have to plan for both cooler AND warmer weather - means more shoes, less mixing/matching/rewearing - just more STUFF to have to take!

I know I'm preaching to the choir - just felt the need to vent and get that off my chest. I was just so hoping that our entire trip would be filled with WARM weather! I know, I know.... such is life when you book a cruise for the dead of winter..... guess our suitcases will just be a little more full!

The weather is out of our control. We just have to relax, hope for the best, and know it will be awesome regardless.
