Where are you looking to buy OhioMinnie? We live in Winter Garden. DH is a realtor and I'm a title agent for a builder.;)

Right behind the Magic Kingdom would be our dream. ;)
Ideally in Thornhill. Love the houses. Love their environmentally friendly features. Love the location. Not so thrilled about the price, but some of it depends on what we can get out of this house.
Dh would work primarily in Hunter's Creek, but would also be required to pick up time in Windermere, and Waterford Lakes, and Altamonte Springs. Since he'll be all over, we figured we might as well live where we WANT, because there is no such thing as living by where you work in that case!
Which builder do you work with? We tried to find all the builders in the area. Hope we didn't miss any!

Ohiominnie: Aren't they? I ordered one and am having it customized.

Wow from OH to FL that will be a change in climate. It may be hot and humid but I love FL. We live in Jacksonville which is about 2 1/2 hrs from Orlando I love that it's close to everything but far from everything at the same time. We will cross our fingers for your DH Good Luck!

Thornhill is nice....it's about 5 minutes from us. DH actually specializes in Winter Garden and Windermere. Let us know if you have any questions when you're in town. Always happy to help a fellow DIS'er and cruisemate!

Welcome to the group wirtdog. Our daughter will be 16 months when we are on the cruise....we'll have to set up some playtime for the kids.

We are going on our cruise with DVC points. We did this exact same cruise, same week in 2007. Lynne....when we went the weather was fantastic at all three islands. Someone mentioned Castaway Cay possibly being a little chilly. The weather there was terrific, but the water was a little chilly, not as warm as it was in St. Maartan or St. Thomas. It was a great time of year to cruise and we are going to try and make it an everyother year cruise.

Hope everyone is having a great week. I can't believe that our cruise is a little over 6 months away....we are heading to Disney in 86 days with my DH, DD and my dad!!!!

Great to hear, I am really excited! I had heard sometimes the water can be rough and it can get chilly but I guess it's all part of the cruising experience =)

Well, I'm back. It was AWESOME!
But the weird thing is, I've NEVER been so excited to LEAVE FL!
I was just anxious to get home to get things squared away here so we can move down there!
The interviews went GREAT! While no official job offer (b/c dh needs to get his FL medical license) there were many many hints to the effect of "you're hired." ;)
We absolutely FELL IN LOVE with Thornhill. And we watched Wishes from there one night! Met 3 of our 'neighbors' too and they were so friendly! I've been living in the country for 10 years and I didn't realize how much I missed having people around who cared. (which is probably why I have THOUSANDS of DIS posts b/c the DIS has been my "community.")

So the realtor comes Monday to officially put our house on the market. We've had a "coming soon" sign out for a couple of weeks now.

Ohiominnie - That is wonderful news! I am so happy for you. Good luck with packing everything up, I don't know about you but I hate having to move :sad2:

I knew you would like Thornhill....it's goregous!!!! Good luck on selling the house!!!

Great news. It's official. Mike got a job offer. Contingent on his FL medical license going through (but that's just a bunch of red tape, there shouldn't be an issue other than t-i-m-e.)

This house is officially listed. Now just waiting for the showings to commence.

WooHoo!!!!! Great news! Make sure you let us know when you are coming down next! We all have to have a meet on the cruise.

Oh...and to gear up for the cruise, I posted pics of my last cruise on my dining thread! Check it out Jezebella Dining

Anyone interested in a magnet exchange? We did this on our last cruise with other DISboarders.

Wow what a great door! How does the magnet exchange work?

Lynn

A list [offline for privacy] is created of interested participants/rooms and we do a scavenger hunt of sorts on the first evening all through the ship delivering magnets. The magnets are either created at home or store bought with either a Disney or local reference (i.e. Lobster magnet from Maine).:teeth:

GMark---that looks like a lot of fun. Are most of the magnets homemade? I've never made a magnet before....is it hard to do? I would definitely be interested and would love to learn more about this.

Just go to Staples/OfficeMax/Office Depot and go to the Avery section. They printable magnet sheets for inkjet printers. Or you can print something, laminate it and buy some stick on magnets for the backing.

Hint....buy the Avery brand. I kept getting off brands because they were cheaper and they didn't feed through the printer well. Bought Avery and they worked like a charm!

Update.....Mike got the job at After Hours Pediatrics. Our house went on the market on July 14th and we got an offer yesterday. We're now negotiating. Jessica...thanks for the email, I just haven't had the time to respond properly to it! Life is KA-RAZY

Ohio---totally understandable! That's great for your husband. I love after hours pediatrics and unfortunately have had to use it on several occassions...but the people there were great!

I second using the avery paper---I'm just going to bring along the ones I used last cruise as I didn't make them "cruise specific" besides the Disney part. I'm cheap..I know...

The magnet's sound like a lot of fun! I have already begun working on some for my door and would love to make some for my dis-ers. Sign me up!
