Also been monitoring the weather in Nassau... using TWC. Reports there are much better. 70s and sunny with only 10% chance of rain.

Well our surprise went moderately well. My DH had a migraine Christmas Eve morning so he was still pretty foggy last night when we opened our gifts. The cruise of course was the big surprise. Then G & G are coming on Wednesday to "celebrate Christmas with us". We were going to give the girls shirts on that night that say "Celebrating G & G's first Disney Cruise" G & G joining us was another part of the surprise.

So DD #1 opened a box with a paper in it that said "U" DD #2's paper said,
"2", then both got another gift to open. DD #1's said, "Are Going", and DD #2 had a 3D model of the Magic (I got this darling pattern from a Dis post). They were so excited. I said, "We're leaving a week from tomorrow (today)" and DH blurted out, "AND G & G ARE COMING TOO!". ARGH! Oh well, it does make it easier for me to make those list minute magnets for G & G's door etc.

How did everyone elses surprises go?

Also, does anyone have a 13-15 yo girl who might want to e-mail back and forth a few times this week to get to know our daughter (just turned 15)? She usually gets aquainted through our meet thread and asked me today if there was anyone her age that she could e-mail.

See you all in just over a week!

Our surprise was a scavenger hunt at their cousins home last nght. Our kids thought they were getting an inflatable pool then a trip to the beach, then they figured out the cruise about half way thru putting the puzzle together. My husband and his brother finished the puzzles while the kids watched the dvd. Then the call fro Mickey.
We had 5 of the 9 kids, of which this is my 3 children's 3rd Disney Cruise and the 1st cruise for everyone who is traveling with us.
My eldest DD12 was not happy since all of her cousins are 8-10 and her brother & sister have both of their best friends going too. So if there are all 12-14 years old on our cruise, please let me know so we can get them together before hand?
It is snowing here in GA - we are house bound hoping to celebrate Christmas tomorrow with our extended family.
We hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas!

Well I ended up starting the puzzle and after a few pieces DD lost interest and returned to her new Disney princess dolls. She did notice it was castaway cay and DCL. DW and I finished and showed her the finished product. Not the response I was expecting. I think she had Christmas Day overload and since this was not a physical gift it is not registering.

Maybe in a few days I will bring it back up.

We also did have have the response we had expected last night but today they were asking a lot of questions and seemed to be getting more excited as time goes on.

Mickey and Minnie left a gift under the tree for us. It was a pair of binoculars and a note about our having a surprise verandah. The kids went nuts. Stayed up late planning and talking about it all.

We have a 12 year old daughter who is looking to meet up with other girls her age. My son is 10, and looking, too. We hope to meet more cruisers with kids the same age at the DISmeet at 4:30PM on deck 10.

My husband and I are looking into excursions and we are wondering if anyone has done the Castaway Island Cruise. If so can you tell me about it and if you liked it. We can't find any info or reviews.

Hi there! My DD Kelly is 15 too, and she's been asking me if there was anyone her age, too. I'll go double check the spelling of her email address, and then send you a pm :)

I cant believe it is almost finally here.

:cool1: Im taking the day off work on Friday to pack and finish FE gifts. Then we head out to Fla. on Saturday. We will to spend one day at MK and then off to the cruise!

I suggested a meet up with the 5-7 year olds. If anyone is interested, we will probably try and find a place by the little kid pool around 1-2pm. If you hear me yelling "Kiera! Rhys! stop splashing your brother/sister!" you will know you found us. Otherwise, we will see everyone at 4:30 (after safety drill) - Deck 10 - port side for the 5:00 pm sail away party.
