January 3, 2011 - 5 night Bahamas Sailing

my goodness, I am holding my breath for all of you. We booked through travelocity, (I cant remember why) and have had our room assignment, but I am so excited to hear what you all get!

When you purchase a Shutter's photo package - do you need to pick out all of the photos you want when you purchase the package?
Or are there credits? If you do take photos and you see one later in the week, can you switch them out? I know Shutters is a mad house the last night and the day we get off of the cruise. I will want a few photos but the best ones of the cruise without spending a ton of time in Shutters. If I can check in each day - it will save time at the end of the cruise.

They now have computer kiosks where you can view and select your photos - plus the printed versions on display. I am pretty sure they let you swap out; someone else with experience will probably chime in on this.

Yes they do have the kiosks and it is crazy on the last night. The best way is to keep up with them on a daily basis as the will get put in big piles on the last night.

I always pick mine up all at once because I'm having too much fun to stop in at Shutters. But I did see on a thread that you can decide at the beginning of the cruise which package you want and they give you a punch card. Each time you remove a picture or pictures from Shutters they punch the card. When the punches are gone you're done.

If you don't use all the punches I also read that you have two options. Downgrade from your package to either a smaller one or to individual photos or save the additional punches for another cruise (I know for certain you can downgrade but I don't know if it's really true that you can save the punches).

This time I'm determined to either get the photo CD or get the package early in the cruise so I can avoid that mad rush at Shutters on the last day.

See you all soon!

Well 42 days and still no assignment. There seems to be more availablility now (both 10A and B). :surfweb:

I am also sad - FLR rates released today include the 12/30 cruise - getting so close to ours!!! Maybe next Monday - I will keep waiting hopefully!

The GTYs are usually assigned 30-45 days out, so I am not surprised about them not assigning them yet.

Why are you so worry about your assignment (and every people) ? I bought my cruise with a travel agency in Québec (Canada) and I'll would have my room only in mid-december. The agent told me maybe i'll will be upgrade (a better room!!!). It's a great news or not ....:confused3

For me, I want to know my stateroom number so I can start making my personalized magnets and other things for the cruise.

Also, it's exciting because it also means the time is getting closer!

Maybe it will be soon. I booked an 11b. Does anyone know how to find out what kind of room you have based on the room number?

Wow! My assignment changed. Just got upgraded to a 4A from a 5C. Our 5C was not a GTY, but they upgraded, anyway. Very exciting! My fingers are crossed that all of you get your assignments soon, and also have pixie dust come your way!

Should I be worried that everyone else is getting their room assignments and mine hasn't come through yet?
