January 3, 2008 3 Night Wonder

Still a little early, but yes, I'm checking weather for our departure day from Indy going to HHI. 10 days out from our cruise date I will post daily forecasts up until we leave home on the 30th.:goodvibes

Currently it is in the 80s in the nassua. hope that it will stay that way. I bought a new North Face jacket just in case it turns cool.

I had better quit eating the Christmas goodies or my shorts wont fit by the time we sail! :scared1:

I bet I know who'll be spending time in the fitness room on the ship;)

Oh, me too! I've been so excited about the fact that I weigh 45+ lbs less than our last cruise -- hope I don't gain it all back on holiday goodies in the next two weeks!! :scared1:

Okay, I DID just eat a truffle. :rolleyes1 :rotfl:

Dont feel bad about that truffle. I just ate 2 slices of chocolate pound cake and I have recently lost 40 pounds on Weight Watchers, i should know better!!

I may need to put duct tape over my mouth for the next few days or I will never be able to fit into my clothes! :scared1: :scared1:

Congrats on your 45 pound loss!

High five Global Mom! I did Weight Watchers too! :yay: I started last January so this is my first holiday season since hitting goal. I survived Halloween . . . my birthday . . . DD's birthday . . . T'giving . . . without gaining. But Christmas is harder b/c I do  all the treats.

Moderation . . . moderation . . . moderation . . . :lmao:

I would say that only eating 15 mini Reeses cups is moderation....i could have eaten the whole bag!! :rotfl2:

Who hijacked my thread and turned into a weight watchers class:rotfl: How about a daily countdown now? Only 13 more days to go cruise fans:banana:

12 more days and last night I thought of a question I wanted to ask everyone, guess what, I forgot the question. :confused3 Guess I'm too excited about our upcoming vacation:rotfl:

Well, no shuttle launch for us to see. Just checked NASA's website, and the shuttle launch is now scheduled for Jan 10th. Won't bother our visit there on the 2nd afterall:goodvibes

Woke up to colder and windier morning here in Indy. Only 11 more days til our nice, warm cruise.:cool1:

9 more days and I have our first weather forecast for our departure day. Weather.com says it will be partly cloudy and 66 the day we sail.:goodvibes Sounds great to me.

Thanks for keeping us going simzac, and Happy Holidays to everyone!!

This is the face of a kid who just learned that she is going on a Disney cruise next week:

It was great fun and she was truly surprised and thrilled -- I thought she had figured it out because she mentioned wanting a Disney cruise several times this past weekend while we were at WDW with my folks. :rolleyes1 But it was just wishful thinkin' on her part. :rotfl:

To quote M. Mouse -- "See Ya Real Soon!"

8 days to go with the updated forecast. PC and 59 for departure day from Port C, and chance of rain and 77 for Nassau. Your daughter looks so happy about the cruise Liz, glad you could keep it a secret for so long. See you soon, Bill

What a great picture!! We also surpised the kids and it was perfect. They could not beleive that they were going on a Disney cruise! I wish that we had gotten a picture of the looks on their faces when they opened the gifts that told of the surprise.

The weather forcast is making me a little nervous, not sure how to pack the kids. 65 degrees on a moving ship can be chilly!

See ya'll next week~!~

PS - as for Weight Watchers.....I dont think that I can lose 8 pounds in the next 3 days so I had better be shopping for some new shorts!!!! Darn those Reese's peanut butter cups.:rolleyes1

OK guys, I am officially nervous about the weather forcast. It is not predicting terribly cold temperatures but is showing mid60s to mid70s and lots of wind.

how cold will that make it on the deck of the ship? We sailed last March and the weather was about 80 degrees but very windy. It was difficult to sit on deck at times b/c it got so chilly that we had to cover up with towels.

light weight jackets for the kids? Polar fleece jackets? Jeans the whole time (excpet in nassau which shows 77-80 degrees)?

See ya'll in a few days!! :goodvibes

Sounds like it will be a little nippy! This is our first winter cruise, so I really don't know what to expect. I think I will just make sure that the girls have a pair of long pants and a jacket to wear onboard, and hopefully we can wear shorts in Nassau and on CC. Maybe have everyone bring a sweatshirt for extra layering. Do you think we will be swimming at CC? I signed the girls and DH up for the stingray encounter.

Global Mom, congrats on keeping your secret, too! It was so nice to finally let the cat out of the bag! :cheer2:

Hi gang, 1 week from right now we will be out to sea, unbelievable that it is finally that close:goodvibes Just checked the weather forecast, PC and 64 for departure day, 77 with a chance of thunderstorms for Nassau. Looks like long pants and sweatshirts will be the clothing of choice. I too hope it's warm enough to swim at CC as I signed the boys up for the wild side. Lets just hope for the best. Rain is in our forecast for the days leading up to the cruise also, may not be the best of trips, but still beats the freezing weather we're having in Indiana. Won't be long now.:cool1:

6 days to go, and departure day does not look good at all. Highs in the 50's and windy, guess no one will be out on deck when we sail. Optimistic that Nassau and CC will be in the 70's.:goodvibes
